August 21, 200322 yr http://espn.go.com/mlb/columns/mcadam_sean...an/1599755.html I seriously think Maggs has a shot at being the MVP if he continues on the tear he's been on since the all star break. Not only does he carry a big stick, but he's defending his position well. Hopefully he won't be snubbed of an honor he may deserve in the end.

I've been most impressed with his play in rf more than anything. He's made some really spectacular catches this season. He's turned sure doubles into long singles. And his throwing has been terrific as well....
August 21, 200322 yr the thing that hurts maggs is a) his slow start and b0 when looking for an mvp people look at what the team would be without maggs we have other stars like frank, and everett, and our lineup could carry the load left by maggs.

I don't agree with that. Without Maggs we're a much weaker line-up...
