Incredible night. Incredible homestand.

The bats are alive and well....except for one. No reason to mention it now, while we're winning.

The Yanks have feasted on us since we dominated them in 2000, mainly due to injuries (notably Thomas and Wells in 2001) and a horrible trade (Ritchie). Not going to be like that this year. It's great that the schedule is what it is, because if we were facing them 2 months ago, we would have probably been swept.

Oh, what I'd do to see another trouncing for a sweep of the Yanks like we did against El Duque that magical Sunday morning in 2000. Most of the "usual suspects" from that game are still around too (Lee, Thomas, Maggs and Manos).

As I said earlier, kudos to JM for giving PK a night off and Daubs a start. His lefty stick could be the difference in next week's series if he gets another start tomorrow.

I still would like to see Aaron get a start in CF tomorrow, but that would mean no Daubs unless Thomas or Everett are given the day off.

Wright looked good tonight, from what I did catch. I kept saying he's pen material, not a starter. They need to give him a few save opportunities because with the trades of Valentine and Ring, he should be the one they have slated to close in the near to distant future.

Later, fellas. See you tomorrow for the sweep.

As well as we're playing now I wanna see what we do against an ELITE team on the ROAD. I think if we can take 2 outta 3 against the Yanks that would be a HUGE confidence booster the rest of the way. But lets sweep Texas tomorrow and end this homestand 7-0...

I don't think we are going to see too much of Daubs against NY, considering the first two pitchers we face are Pettite and Wells.

Jerry luvvvvvvs the %. We'll see Split squad action Tuesday and Wednesday.

And Mussina on thursday, I think. I believe this is a statement series, and we will play well.
