I have no idea how guys like Heaney, Meyer, Ranaudo, etc. are rated above Johnson

Im glad that these lists dont really mean much, no actual Major League performance yet, because everyone else in the division has prospects there. Even the Cubs have several. How depressing.

I don't see Johnson as a top 50. I think he belongs in the top 100 next year though, if he maintains this performance.

If he keeps striking people out, he will rise. Worrying about guys not being in the top 50 or the top 100 is really not a big problem for the Sox, especially for pitchers. Santiago and Quintana were never ranked, and they are perfectly capable major leaguers. Sale was ranked 20th, but he is looking like one of the best pitchers from that group - other pitchers above him were Teheran, Hellickson, Chapman, Taillon, Shelby Miller, Moore, Pineda, Lamb, and Montgomery. It's tough to take anyone over Sale amongst those pitchers, but you can surely make arguments if you'd like.

The Sox can find and locate pitchers, so their rankings are something that, really, you don't need to concern yourself with.
