Looking for Advice - league-wide strikeout rates

Featured Replies

OK SoxTalkers, I'm writing a piece for FutureSox, and there is a data set I need that I cannot seem to find. I am sure this must exist somewhere, but all my Googling gets me nothing. So I am hoping someone here knows...

I am looking for league-wide strikeout rates (or even just raw K and PA numbers) for any given level of the minors, i.e. AAA. In other words, I'd like to know how often hitters across all of AAA strike out, on average.

I have found this for MLB, but not the minors. Does anyone know where I can find this?

You can find it sort of Baseball Reference. You will have to do the individual math, but you can get the league-wide strikeouts and at-bats/plate appearances.

This might be even better:

Close enough, I can calc it from there. Thanks! I tried B-R and couldn't find that page.

This does not answer your question but it's a good an excuse as any to post this cool ass graph.

what does "% of maximum" mean?

Compared against the year with the most. So highest stolen bases and league batting average was in the early 1900s, most home runs in 2000. Not really sure why the highest RBI and runs aren't 100% though.
