Ortiz will be a nice pick up, but I can;t see giving up Pk for him. I can part with CLEE and also Liefer because he can play first base, heck give them biddle. I really don;t see him having a future in the rotation if they make this deal or even in the bull pen. that is pretty much set. The object for the giants is to lower the payroll, and with them aquiring PK they would be raising payroll, the only way it would lower is if the sox paid some of konerko's salary (which I don';t think is going to happen because of our cheap ways) and the other is to give up LEe. I will be very pissed off if kw gives up PK, this will go down as when of the dumbest trades ever. But I have faith Kenny will do the right thing. Ortiz for Lee is perfect, Heck he has averaged 15 wins over the last 4 seasons he would be great at #2 in our rotation.

You are one of the few who actually has faith in Kenny. Of course I am one of the few as well.

 

I tend to agree with the thinking if we give up PK straight up for him were nuts.

 

IF we get more in return though, like an Ainsworth it is reasonable.

 

Losing PK does hurt though, but it also gives Lee a home when Borchard comes up.

we pay some of pk's payroll.. just where have we seen that done before... didnt we just send a hunk of cash to oakland with foulke and mj????? ok so lets be realistic here for a minute.. kw is capable of anything and if he wants someone bad enough like ortiz he will make whatever move necessary to get him...... look at his dealings in the past to see that much.........

spataro the only thing i know now is that paulie is almost gone.. im on the cell phone as i type this.....and its looking mighty grim for him.........heres what i know so far.....ortiz and a minor for paulie a minor and cash from us... as it stands at this moment.. of course that can very well change in the next few minutes......i hope to gosh that kw will do something and soon though cause this is driving me right up the wall.......and another thing i do know for certian is we are not getting colon.........thats all i got for now though....sorry............

So who has been doing all of the graphics for the site? They look good, mario must of learned alot from his brother.

A poster named Spiff has done the graphics.

 

Mario and I still don't have a clue when it comes to graphics. Mario did learn a ton about html from his bro though.

 

Mark (Murcielago) and Ian (Mr. Showtime) also help out with graphics, but the main graphics on the board and site were done by a poster known as Spiff.

Yeah, most of the people are still around. A lot of new comers too. Still a good time.

Michelle, that deal makes a lot of sense, with the exception about money. Then again, we would have to give them money instead of picking up Snow.

 

I'm assuming the minor leaguer is Ainsworth, the question is who are the Sox giving up.

well i try to keep everyone updated as i hear it.....i guess thats my contribution here.........im a bit worried what we will need coming into spring training.......espically if this deal goes through..........pitchers, catchers, 1st basemen.. oh my...........

I still say, do this, then do the Expos deal, then sign Kent and your set.

Sure we would be set, but remember what team your a fan of the sox, not the yankees. We will never have that kind of ambition to get things done like that.

Or so we think, then again, I think if any Sox gm would have the guts to do it, it would be KW.

were not going to be making any deals with the expos unless its minor for minor or stupid s*** like that.... by the time kw gets off his ass anyone worth having from montreal will be gone to the bosox or yanks............
