Q&A with Nick Capra and Kirk Champion

Featured Replies

Nick Capra (Player Development Director) and Kirk Champion (Field Coordinator) sat in with 3 blogs to answer some questions about the Sox minor leaguers. Future Sox was among them.

Read here what they had to say, with some expected - and perhaps unexpected - statements on some key prospects.

Thoughts?

It is encouraging to hear Capra thinks Rondon is improving from the left side, since his left-handed batting is what is suppressing his offensive stats.

Pitching a top the charts for this upcoming draft. Tyler Jay come on down.

I really think Wendelken, and Chalas can be in the bullpen in a couple years. (huge supporter of Wendelken).

They view Wheeler as a reliever, I can see him as that long man like what Carroll/Noesi is now.

Overall, encouraging stuff about other prospects that might not be high on people's lists.
