Our latest player-written guest piece is from right-hander Brad Goldberg, who just graduated from Ohio State. What he covers is something a lot of minor leaguers go through, but you hear almost nothing about - trying to finish school while playing pro ball. It's a good read, he's a surprisingly good writer.

 

By the way, for the prospect hounds, look at the photo I used for the article. Now go find pictures of him at draft time. He's dropped like 40 pounds, and by the way added quite a few clicks to his fastball this past season, so he may jump back onto the radar in 2016.

 

This is excellent! I am always amazed and very appreciative that prospects would be willing to write guest posts for us. I scouted and met Brad down in Winston-Salem this past August and he is very much a prospect and also a great guy.
