TAMPA, Fla. (Sept. 16, 2003) -- The Tampa Bay Buccaneers re-signed receiver Charles Lee as a replacement for the injured Joe Jurevicius.

The Super Bowl champions also waived tight end Daniel Wilcox and released quarterback Jim Miller from the reserve-physically unable to perform list.

Lee, who signed a one-year contract, was released by the Bucs on Aug. 31. He will help fill in for Jurevicius, who tore a ligament in his right knee during Tampa Bay's 12-9 overtime loss to Carolina and will be sidelined four-to-six weeks.

Wilcox played in both games this season after returning to the team on Sept. 5. He spent the final two weeks of the 2002 regular season and all three postseason games with Tampa Bay before released this summer.

Miller, who's recovering from shoulder surgery, was placed on the reserve-physically unable to perform list in August. The former Chicago and Pittsburgh quarterback also has spent time with Jacksonville and Atlanta during his nine-year career.

Hmmm, I wonder if he'll actually ever play again. I actually Dallas (my fav team) looks at picking him up cos if Carter gets hurt I don't want Chad Hutchison who's obviously not ready to play. Parcells had success with Vinny Testaverde and Miller's a very similar QB, although I also read bf that if Kurt Warner is cut by the Rams which is a distinct possibility, Tuna will look at picking him up.
