Anyone done Alaska by land? I'm planning for 2023 or 2024 a trip to Glacier NP, Bannf PP, then Alaska Highway to Alaska then the loop stopping is Homer, Seward, etc. Not certain about the return route. Towing our travel trailer.

I spent 2 weeks on the Kenai Peninsula about 15 years ago.  Stayed in Seward and Homer and a couple other places, but we flew into AK.

My better half has suggested a trip to Spring Training.  We have never been there or to Arizona at all.  Just going to catch 1 game and then several more days in AZ.

Any suggestions of places not to miss or other tips?

    Things I use audio for:

-Listening to Sox games when I’m in the car, walking the dog at night, or an in the office late writing.

things of zero use to me in those situations
    - Video content.

Look into the SiriusXM app.  It has both feeds of all the games plus all the other stations.

Not sure of the price on its own, we also have it in wife’s car.

We still suck at 2nd base no matter how much we avoid the conversation that Rick Hahn is a terrible GM and over the last 2 years has put the Sox at the bottom of Off Season Improvement and farm system rankings.

Yes, all everyone on this site has done all offseason is avoid that conversation.

I agree the city will likely (a new mayor may not be as enthusiastic) attempt to sell to the public yet another billionaire handout, with the lapdog Chicago media fully on board.

Just looking at the current downtown vacancy rate (21.4% Q4 2022), the end of massive Federal COVID cash subsidies, and the fact that even if the city could secure another tax and bond to fund this latest hand out, if downtown doesn’t rebound, the Sox will prefer to shakedown taxpayers elsewhere.

The city dodged a big bullet when Daley finished in dead last in the 2016 Olympic bidding. All future stadiums should follow the United Center model, which has worked out for both owners.

    Just gotta poke around.

  6. The Nationwide jingle takes at most 4 seconds to get through.  So if a person watches every Sox game (unlikely) and the song is sung every game (which it isn’t) that is 10 minutes and 48 seconds of every year that said person would be subjected to hearing that song.  Seems to me that there is way more time spent bitching about hearing the jingle than is actually spent hearing it.
