  1. maybe you should actually read entire threads before you butt into other peoples conversations and try to pick fights. maybe then you could get on the same page as everyone else, skippy!
  2. nice how the buddies get fair warnings me I just get banned thats cool though
  3. If he never amounts to anything, what will we have given up? We didn't give up a big name roster player for him, we gave up a prospect that "MAY BE A STUD SOMEDAY" the same phrase all the BA supporters keep hanging their hat on. To me getting a ML producer for someone that "has a chance to be a good player" is next to nothing
  4. Show me where it is guaranteed that Carter is going to become a stud in the majors.
  5. Magglio Ordonez undrafted Carlos Lee undrafted Mark Buehrle 38th round Joe Crede 5th round Bobby Jenks 5th round Of all those players you named John Garland was the only one drafted in the 1st round. If you want to argue with me, at least have a clue as to what you are talking about otherwise you are just wasting both of our time.
  6. Doesn't matter because the deal paid off now. That is what KW wanted, production now, not in 2011.
  7. I said we gave up nothing for CQ, ChiSoxFn disagreed. I was merely stating my case. Time will tell if we truely did lose out in the deal, but I would bet we did not. That's all.
  8. Give us the gate key. I have no gate key. Fezzik, tear his arms off. Oh you mean this gate key
  9. Joe Borchard Jason Stumm Matt Ginter Kip Wells Jason Dellaero Scott Christman Need I go on? And these are just the White Sox picks. Sure its easy to pick the ones that make it, but for every one that does there is probably 10 that dont
  10. Compared to what CQ is doing at the major league level, I'd still say they got him for next to nothing Anderson was once a "significant prospect" as well, and so far he hasn't lived up to what he was supposed to. The vast majority of these so-called "significant prospects" are all hype.
  11. CQ was a first round pick and I seem to recall we got him for next to nothing.
  12. I used to despise DJ, but I have to admit, I have been cutting him a little slack lately. You are right about the Hawk thing, but you have to admit, Hawk seems to be a my way or the highway sort of guy, and when DJ got there he was just breaking in and still wet behind the ears, he kinda had no choice but to become a Hawk clone if he wanted to keep his job. I think DJ's getting better though. He speaks with a much firmer voice. Once in a while he'll slip back into the soft spoken voice and it just isn't right for that job. I still miss Wimpy though
  13. God forbid Gavin or Danks get in a funk, this board would light up with TRADE FLOYD/DANKS threads.
  14. Im surprised Brenly has a TV job, he has a face for radio. I mean, it looks like a dicarded pin cushion.
