  1. I cant stand watching Contreras attempt to pitch any longer. This guy hasn't been good since the first half of 2006 or whenever it was. His splitter is either in the dirt or in the bleachers, he leaves his fast ball up...I cant stand it! Can we get him out and bring up some young talent that will be at least fun to watch? I dont care who it is, I just dont want to watch Contreras get rocked any longer...Poreda, Marquez, anyone can do what Contreras is doing right now...get them the big league experience...
  2. These one pitch pop outs and weak grounders have to go...Its the most boring baseball to watch when that happens...Our pitching is awesome, but they cant score us runs...Fire Walker, and get us some new blood in there...2 1/2 years of this crap is enough!
  3. I dont know if you guys have noticed, but this is something that has been bothering me for over a month now. How come when the Sox are down and not hitting, they swing at the first pitch...always...They've even been swinging at first pitch breaking balls...They arent getting deep into counts and its really frustrating...Our pitchers have been amazing and the sticks arent just doing anything for them...I know there is more wrong than just swing at first pitches, but I think that would be a good place for a correction...
  4. Do you guys think we will need to add anyone to get through the rest of the season to keep this up? Who or at what position...Rumor is that Erik Bedard MIGHT be available from Seattle, but not sure if this is true...I would sell the farm for that guy...
  5. What if they are working on something to trade Crede and get a 2nd baseman in the deal? Dont know who is available and who else we'd have to give up, but its a thought
  6. What are the chances of getting rid of Crede in mid March for an average starting pitcher....doesnt need to be anything too special, but someone to solidify the 4th or 5th spot in our rotation. Are they still talking w/ the Giants for Lowry or Hennessey?
  7. Billy Koch. That dude sucked. I was at a game in Tampa where he gave up a three run lead in the bottom of the 9th...to the D Rays man!
  8. I like Joe Crede, but I like Josh Fields more, and I think Fields can be a better player than Crede. Especially at the plate. I heard that the Sox and Giants are talking about a Crede for Noah Lowry trade, maybe closer to spring training. I would love that deal.
  9. Okay, so you are now Kenny Williams and you're sitting in your big leather office chair watching the hellish May bullpen performance and feel its time for a change...a big one...Who do you get rid of? Bring up? Trade for?
  10. QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Jun 2, 2007 -> 05:02 PM) Tampa is going to want Gio, Danks, and Fields for Crawford. They are holding everybody ranson for that guy. I would give up Gio and Fields...in an instant for crawford...Danks? not a chance...he's only 22 and look what he's doing...our minors are fairly loaded with "prospects" so i would give almost any of them up...
  11. I heard on Fox today that the Sox and Yankees talked about this, but obviously nothing has happened yet..why would you trade dye abreu? Nothing here would be accomplished at all...They are the exact same player and are both on their way out...the only difference is that Abreu bats lefty..who cares...why wouldnt you trade Dye for a good young player like Figgins or Crawford...both teams have shown interest in him...and i figure they can have him b/c he isnt getting any younger and will be extremely expensive...what are the chances of landing Figgins or Crawford? I would love to see Dye and maybe Lance Broadway or somebody of that nature for Carl Crawford...
  12. Johan Santana Migel Cabrera Grady Sizemore Albert Pujols Francisco Cordero
  13. With the cat fight in the Cubs dugout this afternoon between Barrett and Zambrano, this could show some unrest within the clubhouse and why the Cubs are slumping so bad...granted, the White Sox aren't doing too great either, but atleast they arent fighting each other in the public eye...This just inches closer to my theory that Zambrano really isnt happy here in Chicago and will become a New York Met in 2008...So why exactly wont he sign his contract?
  14. Charlie O' Brien...he had a sweet mullet
  15. BA: .268 HR's: 13 RBI: 53 RUNS: 87 Doubles: 23 Triples: 3 I dont think he would make that great of a full time centerfielder...keep him in left, and that should be great for him...he doesnt seem to be quick enough...Im still hoping that the Sox somehow get carl crawford!
