I can always hope JR sells the team.  As of this morning the White Sox now have the worse record in MLB. They have  the worse pitching staff I have ever seen in my lifetime. They probably have ONE good pitcher on the team who anybody would want (Lopez). This is going to be a historically bad team with no end in sight.  I wish I felt differently about this situation but I don't. I regret renewing my season ticket package  this year.  But you have to have hope in everything you do, I hope JR sells the team.

I would like Mark Cuban to come on board as eventual owner. I foresee K Williams to inherit a piece of ownership but I would question whether the Sox have any market left in a few years. We will see how it plays out.

  2. Family reunion at Wrigley. TA Sr. recently released from confinement came by for a meal and a ballgame. Tim was raised by his aunt who he considered his mom. These are struggles a spoiled kid from the suburbs never had a clue about. #popshome Good luck to both Tims. It makes me sad that some NFL fans can be so insensitive and judgmental.

One thing I want to say... I hate the cubs.  I'll give them this - their team has been a fucking joke for the better part of 100 years, but somehow they have been a mainstream fast-food style success for a long time.

    I'll give them that.

The Cub aren't worth worrying about. They are just another team after reaching their goal.

Fulmer is a useful example if you've ever wondered what it would look like if you called up a decent prospect who was just figuring out AA/AAA to the majors. You can see a MLB pitcher in there for short bursts of a few innings but he just can't keep it together long enough. Question will be how the Sox choose to deal with their developmental failure here. Fulmer might be able to work through it in MLB but it will take a lot of mental toughness; it's a very risky strategy but all we've done with his career so far is gamble with it.

I hadn't been in favor of demoting him, but if I were running the show I'd probably have Fulmer and Kopech swap places at this point.

The Sox have had a desperate habit of treating their top draft picks like superstars and it's actually kind of comical. I happen to like Fulmer and think he will settle into a positive routine before long.

What's your prediction on what the staff looks like in 2 months?

Fair enough. I just don't believe the consistent (hopefully) improvement of Moncada, Giolito, Lopez, and Anderson + the consistency of Abreu (and hopefully Garcia when he's back) will be enough to play .500 ball.

Three potential impact bats in the middle. Competent hitters in Yolmer Beef and TA. Lack of quality OFs a definite downside. Roster size really affects a team that could use some more offense. Nice intro from Polka. One of the CF spots could really use an upgrade.

Random thought, but if Renteria is gonna keep pulling guys, he better be 100% sure that they're not hustling. That's not really something you can do when it's not for sure and we already only have 2 non-catcher bench players.

We see ongoing mental mistakes and what I consider under-achieving. Not really a tight ship and their record could be one of the worst ever. Maybe they will right the ship mid-season. Rebuild is not a good enough reason to be historically bad in my view. I just expect to see some good baseball once in a while.

The odds on Machado and Donaldson just went down even more...there’s no point on wasting the most productive year remaining in Donaldson’s career on the 2019 team.  And Machado won’t sign unless the money is 10-15% better than the contending teams are willing to pay.

Arenado becomes the likeliest target, unless they decide to pursue Moustakas again.

Not sure if the big name guys are a good fit.

Looks really good right now, and hopefully it even looks better a couple of years from now.  Still don't want to count the chickens before the hatch, but Eloy seems as can't miss as can be. Cease looks great, we will see if his body holds up. That is probably the biggest question with him.

Eloy has knee issues and a concrete glove.
