    He's gonna be....... DA BESSSSS

    THE BESSS*

I notice some people saying Da Bess and would like to put an end to that and make it officially "the Bess" as that sounds better and is what Eloy actually said in the video the nick name comes from.

It would be interesting to see what Leury would do over an entire season if he remained healthy.

He played a lot in 2017 and did good. He was a starter for about half or more of the season but then he got injured and was replaced by Engel. Engel made some flashy catches and despite his atrocious hitting they stuck with him even after Leury came back. Leury deserved the chance to start 2018 but they went with Engel again even when Leury was healthy.

  3. If the White Sox keeping putting Giolito out there he will eventually have a few starts where he looks good and like he found it. Hopefully this next time people will remember that it doesn't mean anything and he always goes right back to garage within a few starts. We've seen it happen numerous times so far his White Sox career.

That’s fair and I’m someone who thought he should start in Birmingham, it’s more I find it annoying anytime someone had a good game that they should be moved up.

Robert has 5 home runs, 14 RBIs, batting almost .500, and and OPS over 1.500 in 7 games. That is more than just having "a good game".

  5. How long are they going to delay promoting Robert? Is this another one they going to delay moving up levels so he won't force the issue of bring him up this year like Eloy did last year.

Ricky will be the sacrificial lamb....and that's ok.  They need a new voice in clubhouse.

    Omar...your table's ready.

Why do people want Omar? From what I've heard he is another old school type who will be out of touch with todays game. Apparently he is even more fond of bunting than Ricky.

What other teams tell their pitching staff to drop velocity, give up on your breaking pitches, and hope for the best.

Pitching for contact nonsense is mainly for the starters. Coop doesn't have issues with hard throwing strikeout relievers, sadly we don't have any of them anyway. I remember a stat in a fangraphs article a year or 2 ago and it showed the top 10 starters with biggest difference in their max velocity and average fastball velocity. Not surprisingly there was Sale, Rodon, and Lopez in the top 10.

This organization is still of the mindset that OBP and the changes in how the game are played are irrelevant.

I'm not sure even White Sox fans understand the value of OBP considering most thought Palka with his below .300 OBP was good last year. I am actually glad he is struggling bad this year because that means we can cut ties with him sooner. Palka sucking means White Sox fans can give up the delusion belief that he was going to be a valuable member of a competitive team which was never going to happen even if he repeated what he did last season.

This is an utter disgrace of a team...worse then the last couple of years...

We are 4-5 years away at best...ZERO faith that Hahn can rebuild...

Hahn is a joke and his acquisitions are unbearable...your starting right fielder, catcher and 2nd baseman have a total of 6 hits all season...

Castillo, Alonso,  Jay,  Santana, etc.....train wreck....

Poor Jason Bennittedi...so much enthusiasm and he has to announce all of these games...

If the team is not looking good in a year or 2 what makes you and others think the team will be "rebuilt" in 4-5 years. If this team is not looking a lot better next year and looking good in 2 years then the rebuild has failed and there is no reason to think it will start to come together in 4 or 5 years.

It’s simple...the ball is juiced and everyone is capable of being a hr hitter now (besides Madrigal).  You need strikeout pitchers on your staff to succeed.  Not missing bats is a recipe to get destroyed.

Don't tell Coop that. Look forward to seeing pitching for contact Dylan Cease.

But is Moncada maintaining his elite patience or is he starting to hack at it, swing at balls in the dirt, etc. which are long-time traits of the prototypical White Sox hitter?

Moncada didn't have elite patience. His issue was that he was too patient. He would stare at tons of pitches whether they were strikes or balls.

The velocity was still there late in games. Nobody saw him throwing 89-91 this year coming. We all thought he'd get it back this season consistently because he was still pumping 96-98 mph late in games last season.

He was 91-93 early in games last year and got stronger as the game went on.

He was not hitting 96-98MPH last season. It was rare to see him hit anything 94 or above just like this season. At least the K's are back this season though.

Here is the thing: Hahn thinks we are all crazy to be complaining because this is the rebuild and he thinks its ok to lose. I dont agree. We have to build an attitude of winning and good baseball. Hahn would rather not make the playoffs this season and get a better pick. We can see thats how this team plays on the field. Ricky cant be Ricky if the higher ups keep telling him its ok to lose.

Actually there was an attempt to make the team better and start winning this year. Considering how bad the team will likely be this season Hahn would probably prefer to deny that and claim  losing is still part of the plan. Trading Omar for 2 years of Colome is a win now trade.

  14. Put Robert in AA then get him to the majors. Every year the White Sox are losing more and more fans, they need to get this rebuild rolling soon. Look what the Padres did with Tatis Jr, 20 years old and already up. They didn't even bother with AAA.
