I say plenty of dumb shit on this board, but I’m glad this turned out to be true.
Say...you got any stock picks to share?

Lester just gave up more runs to us than he had allowed all year.

441. Bye, Jon.

I can't wait to see how far that one went. Holy shit.

If you haven't already, go to the Tigers' stream on MLBTV and watch Tim's homer in the fourth. Their level of outright dejection is enjoyable.

Go back to being a massive f*cking bust for a sh*tty ass team, Jeimer.

Tim knew the breaking ball was coming and moved up. Man that is baseball porn, I love it
Yeah that was f’ing sinister. Amazing.

Detroit is building a pretty scary rotation but we all know how much can happen before they make it to the rotation.
That said, if they end up with Kumar Rocker...eesh.
I know Kumar Rocker was a big HS name in the draft a few years ago, but I missed where he went after that faded away. Doing big things in college, I assume?

Please just stop with Collins.
Why? We’re ruining a first round draft pick by barely using him. I get there’s not really a spot for him on this roster, but even last year his treatment was terrible. He might not amount to anything, but give him pinch hitting opportunities every four games and he definitely will not.

Every single word in this quote speaks to me on how Renteria is unfit to manage a drive-thru, much less a professional sports team.

Can someone explain this play Eloy lollygagged on? I just walked in.

I’d be terrified as a Cards fan right now. Haven’t played in weeks and now eight games in five days against two tough teams (assuming the non-shitty version of our team shows up). They’ve played five games and their season could be effectively over by Wednesday. Weird year.

They get enough baseball history. Benetti lobs Stone softballs often about "who's the best _____ you ever saw/played with" or "do you remember the player that you ______ for the first time in your career?" They also do Sox Math and Sox Files which are occasionally baseball *history* related. I don't really give a shi who Hawk, of all people, thinks is the greatest player at some random category, sorry.
That's fair (and sorry if I came off as argumentative), but Hawk watched Sox games like I watched Sox games. He launched over the moon when I did, and he sulked when I did. He whined about the umps like I did. To each their own, but that's my preference and my original point.

Chicago radio guy. A bit polarizing, tbh. His old schtick was taking radio calls from wackjobs and telling them how stupid they are. I miss those days, honestly.
Thanks. Sounds pretty entertaining, actually.

Jason's humor does remind me a lot of Dan Bernstein's humor
No idea who that is, honestly.

Yeah, hearing Hawk whine about the umpires & hearing his recollection of the best 2 ball hitter of all catchers he's ever seen in his 5 decades in baseball was a joyous time to be a fan
Sorry, but I sit at home and whine about the umpires. I'm also interested in baseball history. I do not sit at home and make cheesy, nonsensical jokes. So yes, I prefer Hawk, even in his degraded end-of-career state.

Please let us face Carson Fulmer. Pleeeeeeease.

"Another boomerang! Is the Sydney Opera House nearby?"
To each their own, but how does anyone enjoy this? This is terrible. Let me have Hawk back, please. Silence is OK sometimes.

That Grandal play comes in clutch
What do you mean? Abreu had taken second. There was no DP in play.
-
I guess Steve forgot runners were on second and third, no force at second. No DP in play.
ELOY!!!!!!!!!

A word I did not expect to hear during today's broadcast: gendarmes. Nice one, Steve.
A thing I did not expect to see in Tim's first AB back: a walk!

Man I'm having real doubts about this season for the Sox. I didn't think they would be better than MIN, but this is flat out embarrassing.
This is where I'm at. Ricky has no place managing a would-be contender. Eloy's massive gaffe the other day epitomizes the lax culture in our clubhouse. Fire him, hire a ballbuster.

Super excited for starting shortstop, Ryan Goins!
Edit: Seriously, I was so stoked for this season where we'd have an interesting at-bat at every single spot in the lineup. The rookies might struggle, Edwin might have a slow start, Yasmani might have one of his prolonged slumps, but at least you would want to watch. Two weeks in, and we'll probably see a Mendick/Engel/Goins starting 9. WTF.

Long time lurker, first time poster.
I could be totally off base here, but I feel like a huge proportion of our offensive production is home run based. Like in our current predicament, our only hope is if we get a few big swings. One run was difficult, two is downright intimidating. We'll score twelve runs on occasion, but it's because we hit five bombs in the game. Smack two singles and a double? Operate our offense as a cohesive unit? Never heard of it. Compound it all with a seriously idiotic approach, like swinging at the first pitch after a pitcher throws eight straight balls.
I'd like for our offense to not be super aggravating anymore.

Y'all can hate me for this, but I kinda want the Cubs to get a hit. I obviously love Keuchel, but I was worried about this series knocking us off our pedestal and especially facing Lester, and now I'm super relaxed, and I don't really want to sit on a puckered asshole for the rest of the night.
Then again, with Rizzo bunting, fuck the Cubs.
