  1. A couple of quick notes from the pregame:

    - Talked to Pods briefly. Heard him say he's about 80 percent and he told me his groins are stubborn. He's playing in left field and leading off.

    - BA has been playing DH recently because his shoulder is bothering him.

    - Word was that Floyd threw his best game of the year last night. Key to him being successful is throwing strikes. Stuff is not the problem.

    - Broadway's on the hill tonight. Hope to have some info on his velocity just to see where he is.

    - Fields left this morning for Chicago and found out he was getting the call last night, thus the reason he did not play here on Tuesday night.

I'll have more as the night moves along.

  2. Thomas has not committed to Ohio State:

DeShaun Thomas from Fort Wayne Bishop Luers is already considered by some experts as the top player nationally in the Class of 2010. That is why anything he does is news and word broke quickly this week when he reportedly made an unofficial visit on Wednesday to Ohio State. But one source passing along that news added that there was also a rumor that Thomas had committed to the Buckeyes during that quick unofficial. Early commits seem more common these days and Ohio State and Illinois already have commitments from Class of 2010 players. But we did some checking with his aau program and DeShaun's aau coach Leroy Nard said yesterday in very emphatic terms that Thomas is not committed to Ohio State.

Rumors on Scout's OSU board that DeShuan Thomas, the top rated player in the 2010 class verbally committed to OSU.

I don't know how Matta does it, but the man is pretty much a class act when he does interviews and is a very amiable guy. I wanted Illinois to pair him and Richmond, but I am just happy Sampson didn't get him.

    I could tell you, but I won't

He has had a brutal Erstad mancrush all year despite the reality of the situation, and did something I haven't seen him do in 14 years (and we've had some bad injuries in that time). The Erstad/Hawk relationship has been like nothing I've ever seen between a player and broadcaster.

As much as you don't like Erstad, the guy plays the game the right way. I don't see how anyone can not respect and appreciate that.

It took Hawk's clubhouse run to make me feel that way, blame him. And no I don't care if anybody finds it pathetic, I find most posts here pathetic too.

Like I said, cut it out. That goes for anyone who wishes to make light of a potentially serious injury. None of that has any place here and I will make sure it doesn't happen on my watch.

He has been almost silent since.

I figured he'd be MIA after that. As much as I wasn't a huge advocate of Erstad when we signed him, he did play hard and gave us something out there. Sad to see him go down and it'll be even worse if it means we'll see Terrero in CF on a full-time basis.

That's because hardly anything positive is ever said. It's always like OMG HAWK SAID THIS or OMG OZZIE IS THE WORST MANAGER EVER. I've noticed that 100% of your posts have something ridiculously negative in them ,even if the subject is positive.

What is there positive to say right now?
