  1. QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Oct 25, 2016 -> 11:14 AM) Whoever is going to win, I just want it to be put away in 4 games or ASAP (hopefully an Indians sweep brings the off-season on Sunday). Amen. I can't take a 7 game series. I am over it.
  2. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Oct 25, 2016 -> 10:30 AM) Yeah but we had those too, and the Hawks have a s***load of them. Bad fans suck for everyone, the Cubs just happen to have a HUGE amount of them because of WGN and their stadium. Yeah the Hawks bandwagon exploded after 2010.
  3. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Oct 25, 2016 -> 10:26 AM) yeah but those of us who grew up in Chicago have family members and loved ones that have been long suffering true Cubs fans. I dont want to see them heartbroken. I agree with you. Just i don't care for the people who bought jerseys two weeks ago and just joined the party.
  4. I think Terry Francona is one of the few managers capable of outwitting Joe Maddon IMO.
  5. I ran into the guy who owns the building where i work this morning in the parking lot. He said go cubs! I said i am a Sox fan. He says, i can tell by that tone in your voice that you're a bitter Sox fan. I said my tone comes from bandwagon cubs fans that drive me up a wall 24/7 on the news, in person, and on the radio.
  6. Indians' Jason Kipnis defends Steve Bartman, thinks he should throw first pitch.

  8. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Oct 24, 2016 -> 03:39 PM) That's a smart fan. I rolled my eyes.
  9. I did have a fan at work say the cubs will go on braves type run.
  10. Yeah, i guess you guys are right. I'm just bitter.
  11. QUOTE (Brian @ Oct 24, 2016 -> 11:55 AM) Cocky Cubs fans in the office calling for a sweep or 5 games. Don't disagree but it's still irritating. I know some people on this board disagree with me but i think a world series loss for cubs fans will be worse then bartman. Getting that far and poof you are back to square one.
  12. QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Oct 24, 2016 -> 09:55 AM) It was on their promenade.
  13. Sneed: White Sox owner rooting for the Cubs http://chicago.suntimes.com/news/sneed-whi...g-for-the-cubs/
  14. Salazar might be back i hear. BTW, i noticed all the sports writers are jumping on the cubs bandwagon saying the Indians have no shot.
  15. QUOTE (greg775 @ Oct 23, 2016 -> 10:00 PM) I think this post says it all. Agree with everything here. The ultimate decline depends on the improvements Epstein makes after they win the WS this year and next. Funny thing is after the curse and everything, they might go on a Yankee like dynasty of the old days. Cubs could win the WS 3 of the next five years starting now, maybe 4. Bet the house on that?
  16. QUOTE (fathom @ Oct 23, 2016 -> 06:32 PM) It makes sense, but I have never seen more Cubs shirts/hats worn than what I saw today. Even in a predominantly White Sox area, it was almost all Cubs fans. Don't go to my Walmart. Packed with cub fans today. Parking lot full of W flags. Bandwagon central.
  17. QUOTE (WhiteSoxfan1986 @ Oct 23, 2016 -> 03:13 PM) I was actually surprised at how tame things were last night. I remember in Game 6 in 2003, fans were lined up across both Waveland and Sheffield. I thought the crowd after the game was actually pretty small all things considered, especially considering it was a Saturday. I heard cubby bear was charging 100 bucks at the door.
  18. I'm at Walmart right now. I have never seen more people in the store wearing Cubs stuff in my life. They all look like they just got laid for the first time.
  19. QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Oct 23, 2016 -> 08:46 AM) http://sports.yahoo.com/news/why-steve-bar...-061105324.html Passan argues why Bartman should throw out the first pitch (over Billy Williams) for Game 3 Lady I work with knew bartman when she worked at Hewitt in Lincolnshire with him. He never came back to work.
  20. QUOTE (soxfan2014 @ Oct 23, 2016 -> 12:27 AM) I actually respect him for admitting it. This is the best one yet. Girl who looked to be in her early twenties starts crying about how she has been waiting for this her whole life. I thought about the 80 year old who also has been waiting. Shut up lady. Haha
  21. This guy at the party I was at just confessed to me that he bought his Cubs Jersey 2 weeks ago and jumped on the bandwagon. I wanted to slap him haha
  22. QUOTE (iamshack @ Oct 22, 2016 -> 09:58 PM) I don't think many Sox fans are mad or upset about the Cubs play or their organization right now. If anything, most of us are envious of their competent leadership. It's just the fan stuff that gets under peoples' skin. Well said.
  23. My friend texted me that the cubby bear is charging a 100 bucks at the door.
  24. QUOTE (Deadpool @ Oct 22, 2016 -> 09:04 PM) You could just drink more? haha yeah. Then I'd start telling these people where to go.
