  1. Amazing how all these sports writers are picking the Cubs. Few went with Indians. Must be the popular thing to do.
  2. I got a good one. If the game is rained out tonight Cubs fans will say the angels in heaven are crying for a championship.
  3. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Oct 26, 2016 -> 11:19 AM) We may also see stories about how the Pope and Dalai Lama have been die hard Cubs fans their entire lives and maybe even a documentary about a small Somali village where everyone was huddled around the only radio available in town, rooting for the Cubs throughout the post season, hoping to one day be able to visit Murphy's to do jello shots. I'm getting teary eyed just thinking about it. I just lost my breakfast. Hahaha.
  4. I was at home. I had no idea what to do after they won. I was shocked.
  5. Excuse city here at work. We got to Miller!!!! Damn umps!!! Don't look at the score!! Means nothing!!! I just looked at my facebook. This is a great one. We saw their ace..... they have yet to meet ours...... This is too funny.
  6. QUOTE (chw42 @ Oct 25, 2016 -> 10:47 PM) If the Indians even had one of Salazar or Carrasco, they'd be the easy favorites in this series. Thought I heard talk of Salazar coming back?
  7. QUOTE (pettie4sox @ Oct 25, 2016 -> 09:45 PM) elaborate That the mighty cubs can be shut down by great pitching.
  8. Lester have bad command or the crowd getting to him?
  9. My Facebook cub friends are b****ing about a s*** third strike call.
  10. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Oct 25, 2016 -> 05:31 PM) I honestly won't even tune in. Haven't tuned in yet for any of their games. I'm so petty I don't want to add to their ratings. I'll check the box score before I go to bed. I am not watching either. I just follow this thread.
  11. I am on pins and needles. Get this started. I want to see how the Tribe handles the cubs.
  12. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Oct 25, 2016 -> 04:33 PM) She is several years older than me. She told me I was being childish and I should be happy for Chicago. I told her as a White Sox fan, Cleveland winning isn't exactly ideal either, but she was definitely miffed. I am sure she was childish in 2005.
  13. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Oct 25, 2016 -> 04:21 PM) I get people hoping the Cubs win because their friends or family members are Cubs fans. IMO, however, I don't care. When they play the White Sox I am not happy for they when they win. My Cubs fan friends and family have made it through life just fine without a WS title, I am sure they will be fine if they don't win this year. Who knows, maybe winning would be bad for them. A neighbor really let me have it after she said go Cubs to me and I responded enthusiastically with an ehh... I know of no Cubs fans who were happy in October of 2005. What did she say? haha
  14. Theo Epstein and Terry Francona reach the World Series again. This time on opposite sides.
  15. QUOTE (JUSTgottaBELIEVE @ Oct 25, 2016 -> 03:02 PM) https://www.google.com/amp/cleveland.cbsloc.../?client=safari Selling his tickets to Cubs fans? WTF
  16. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Oct 25, 2016 -> 03:00 PM) Yes, he still sits at the top of the bleachers. I hate that guy. He ranks up there with the guy who used to sing opera while selling hot dogs in Detroit of people I despise. I just found him on wiki. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Adams_(drummer)
  17. I wonder if that Indians fan who used to beat the drum still comes to the park? I remember him from a long time ago.
