The Raiders offer you 3 firsts, 3 seconds, and Maxx Crosby for this pick. Thats a half insane but also plausible offer (Crosby today said to trade him if they change coaches). You have turned the 2023 first pick into 2 pro bowlers, 4 first round picks, and 5 second round picks. Was it worth going with Justin Fields and risking using the franchise tag on him? Thats tough.
I'm on record in saying trade the pick if you get a haul. If that's what Raiders are offering... then as tough as it is to pass on Caleb and what he COULD become.. if you hit on those picks.. you're elite for years. But it would be up to Poles to evaluate and hit if he believes he can find a QB that he can win with.

And this is their chance. By all accounts Caleb Williams is suppose to be better than both Stroud and Bryce Young coming out. He's been called a generational QB for years now. Now if you want to argue the Bears can't develop any QB which by their own history they never have? Then that is an argument worth buying.

Oh and Atlanta got spanked by New Orleans and the Jets beat the Patriots. If the Bears lose, their pick will be 9th overall in the draft. If they win, it can be as low as 12th if the Raiders lose.

Also at this point, if I'm the Hawks, I 100% send Korchinski back to the CHL. He is not going to develop being on this mess of a team at this point. They literally have nothing but mostly AHLers now.

For the second year in a row THE CHICAGO BEARS just secured the #1 pick. The Jaguars just beat the Panthers. What a trade that turned out to be.

If this is Fields last game at Soldier Field playing against his childhood team... what a way to end it. He's been outstanding.
