  1. It is being reported by ESPN 1000 that Jon Rauch left US Cellular Field before today's game concluded. Ken Williams has issued a statement saying that Rauch will likely never pitch for the White Sox again, and he is willing to listen to trade offers. Paul Konerko commented that everyone is upset about what happened. Absolutely unbelieveable.
  2. I asked because I've seen eight-year-olds yanked out of games for much less. If there's one thing that bothers me about the way Sox players are handled by the coaches, it's that nobody is held accountable for his mistakes. If a guy does something stupid, nothing happens. That needs to change. The first step towards playing winning baseball is playing smart baseball. That didn't happen in the fourth inning.
  3. Just out of curiosity, was Carlos still in the game that last half-inning?
  4. I've officially had it with Carlos Lee. When he came to the majors in 1999, a lot of people said he had the chance to be the second coming of Frank Thomas. My f***ing ass! He isn't even the second coming of Dan Pasqua. I have never seen a player with so much talent who manages to accomplish so little on the field. Carlos Lee has the IQ of a potted plant. I hope he gets pulled from the game for that s***. The Sox are in the middle of a pennant race, and Carlos doesn't seem to care. Note to Harold Baines: get that piece of s*** off the field this instant! He doesn't deserve to be out there!
  5. Carlos... :fyou :fyou :fyou :fyou :fyou :fyou :fyou :fyou :fyou :fyou :fyou :fyou
  6. The Sox have so many players in their lineup who absolutely cannot get hit with men in scoring position. Is it really so hard to hit the ball with men on base? This has been a problem for several years. I'm beginning to wonder about the various scouts and coaches throughout the Sox organziation, because every player that ends up on this team doesn't have the ability to get it done in clutch situations. In Game 7 of the World Series, the only player I would feel good about hitting with the game on the line is Frank, and he's not good in cluctch situations at all. That's how bad this team is when it comes to getting it done in these situations.
  7. Who is actually saying that? Is it Rooney or Farmer?
  8. I agree that playing Ozzieball will get them back in the game, but I don't think it's wise to bunt with Frank on base. Thomas runs well, but not as well as he used to.
  9. Why is Valentin trying to bunt in this situation?
  10. It's almost like a virus. The idea of the home run has spread throughout the Sox organization to the extent that everyone thinks about home runs rather than just getting on base and doing the little things to score runs. It's irritating. I love watching players hit home runs, but I rarely see anyone hit a home run when he's trying to. Home runs are the product of making solid contact and seeing the ball well, not swinging as hard as one possibly can.
  11. Way to go, Frank! Let's go, Carlos!
  12. I agree, but this team is obsessed with the idea of five-run homers. If they're going to make a move, it needs to start now.
  13. The saddest part of this situation is that Rauch probably did a better job than either Wright or Cotts. The Sox must find a fifth starter as soon as possible.
  14. Is the inning over yet? Okay... finally!
  15. Right now, I'm more concerend about Rauch not allowing the team to fall too far behind.
  16. Damn it, Rauch! :fyou :fyou :fyou
  17. I still do not understand how Jerry Reinsdorf can sit back and watch the Sox bend over for teams every fifth day. It's embarrasing.
  18. The Dark Side of the Force has clouded our vision. I'm afraid we can't do much at the moment.
  19. Valentin-Konerko-Gload due up. No score.
  20. Something needs to be done about this. Carlos has been killing the team with men on base. I've lost count of the number of rallies that have ended with Lee at the plate.
