QUOTE(Steff @ Jul 27, 2005 -> 08:57 PM) Just toss away all the ones they won... makes sense. Good grief... I swear I'd hate to see if our record was flip flopped. No you wouldn't. It'd be pretty calm, like the end of last season. -

QUOTE(Steve9347 @ Jul 27, 2005 -> 08:44 PM) this team really doesnt need that power... ill take a 2 run single in the 9th inning as opposed to a 1 run homer in the 2nd. No, today especially. I mean, crap, what has power done for us today? -

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jul 27, 2005 -> 07:31 PM) Just a deep fly ball here JD Okay. -
QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jul 27, 2005 -> 06:35 PM) I'm confused why this guy is being met with such hostility, he hasn't insulted the White Sox at all and people talking s***, kind of odd. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Jul 27, 2005 -> 06:38 PM) I agree. Both Brewer fans here have been very nice, and have seemed to know what there talking about when it comes to baseball. No need to be rude or hostile, lets just and HELP the repuation of Soxtalk, not hurt it. ^^^^^^^^^^^^ That, or those, or whatever. Even in the first post, he said that it worked out well for both teams. This neverending argument should end, it's over, and noone's changing his mind now.

Still posting... Maybe the 3rd time's the charm? Edit: Oh well. Twice as nice? Or first thought, best thought?

QUOTE(Punch and Judy Garland @ Jul 27, 2005 -> 05:59 PM) I don't see how ignorance is a good thing. Stop making me feel unwelcome... Or sticking with my motif... I forgot my mantra. Oh, there it is.

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jul 27, 2005 -> 03:35 PM) Don't use "jew" someone might think you are an anti-semite I distinctly heard it. I was having lunch with some guys, so I asked, Did you eat yet?, and they said, No, did Jew? Not, did you eat, did Jew eat? Jew? Get it?

The O's are prolly looking to make a move, but even if they don't, how much worse would Hayden Penn be? An era of 6.5 instead of 6, oh noes... Maybe the stupidest thing I ever thought is that Sidney Ponson would actually become a decent, steady pitcher.

QUOTE(TheDybber @ Jul 22, 2005 -> 05:24 PM) Unless curiousity killed the cat. It doesn't matter, a cat has nine lives. It would land on its feet.

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jul 22, 2005 -> 04:58 PM) Essentially it comes down to how much do you believe in your right to privacy? Do you believe in it enough to let someone else kill you, while taking advantage of the holes in our exsisting system? No, I don't think it's a question of "how much...you believe". It's a question of how far you believe that right should go. I feel very strongly that privacy is important, but I believe that when I'm using a resource that belongs to a private company (airplane) or the public (subway, crowded space) I make an agreement (sometimes implicit) with the owner. My privacy still exists, I just make a choice to reveal something, which is always my right. But when I'm in my home, I would be no less ticked to find a camera -- I don't 'believe less' in my right to privacy.

QUOTE(YASNY @ Jul 22, 2005 -> 05:05 PM) There's more than one way to skin a cat. You're preaching to the choir on that one. (Here, kitty kitty...)

QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Jul 22, 2005 -> 04:59 PM) The Eagles and Patriots are two teams that won't pay your ass, good or bad. Notice how they're the top teams. The Eagles won't trade him to Atlanta like T.O. wants to think or anyone else except Bolivia. They'll let him rot and make an example out of him. He won't play in TC or preseason at all, but he will sure as hell play in the season. Why? Because if he doesn't, he'll have to pay back all his signing bonus from last year and he won't be getting paid jacks*** unless he applies at Jewel or something. I love T.O. as a talker and a player, but goddamn, he's gotten out of hand. I hope you're right, but he already got his way once by running his mouth. Just gotta hope that isn't repeated.

QUOTE(YASNY @ Jul 22, 2005 -> 04:46 PM) Sounds like your singing a 'song sung blue'. I'm not trying to be so dramatic as that. It's no skin off my nose.
-
Argh, no more lyrics. Every post sounds like the same old song and dance.

QUOTE(greg775 @ Jul 22, 2005 -> 04:01 AM) Im very disappointed in Konerko, Thomas, Pierzynski, and Uribe. Id like to see all three shipped out... I mean, it's not calculus or anything. Edit: Just pulling yr leg here.
-
QUOTE(ZoomSlowik @ Jul 22, 2005 -> 03:52 AM) Chill out. We put up four earned runs against Clement, someone that many on this site have thought would own us. We only allowed 3 earned runs, the other three were very out of the ordinary. Iguchi committed two errors and Crede committed one. Both have been spectacular defensively. That isn't going to happen very often. Also, Vizcaino isn't going to pitch an inning and a third in a close game in the playoffs. We lost one game to a pretty good team. Let's lay off the panic button a bit. Iguchi's been much better, but "spectacular" is a bit much.
-
QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jul 22, 2005 -> 03:47 AM) If you get Vizquel, you get a SS of equal defensive ability (or close to it) and superior offensive production (not going to say ability because I think Juan has as much as any SS in the game not named Tejada or Arod and I think he has similar capabilities of a guy like Tejada). Patience is a virtue, and Uribe does not have it, and you can't learn it. At a fantastic best, Uribe will be a sorianoed Tejada.

QUOTE(Punch and Judy Garland @ Jul 22, 2005 -> 03:31 AM) I wanted to puke hearing "Let's go red sox" in our park. We desperately need a Garland win tomorrow or we might get swept in front of full houses four nights in a row which would be disgraceful. It doesn't mean as much elsewhere, but it pisses me off hearing that anywhere. Not that many people are born in Boston and move to every city in the US. Bandwagon fans who root against their home town team are the lowest forms of life.
