I got bored so I decided to take stats from some World Series winners, and play with them. First I determined the "core" players. (Players that played nearly every game, or were main part of team when not injured) Then I averaged all of the core players' stats to get a typical winning player's statistics. .282 18 HR 82 RBI .352 OBP .452 SLG 12 SB

one thing the white sox dont have that some other teams have (see the cubs) is the coolness of going to the game. going to a white sox game isnt considered "cool." even when the cubs suck, its still the cool thing to do to go to the game and get drunk

Hell I hate the guy but I think if he steps it up this year he will have 20+ wins. If that happens, and everyone else works up to expectations, we'll go to the playoffs

Buehrle - 21 wins Garcia - 18 wins Garland - 20 wins (something he's completely capable of) Contreras - 13 wins El Duque - 11 wins (he wont get very many starts, ebing in the fifth spot) 83 wins by our starting rotation, call me crazy but garland could surprise us all this year, and could be the missing link that will bring us to the world series

IMHO, Willie should rarely start unless he's giving Uribe a rest. Quite frankly, I want Eckstein at short and Uribe at 2B. And the less of No Hit Willie I see, the better.

i like that we're at least willing to change and show some kind of commitment to winning....some teams would have just thrown in the towel and traded for prospects by now....

im not too worried about the catchers position...if we upgrade it great, if not, oh well

so its just the average replacement player not what that players replacement would be on his team
