QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Apr 12, 2006 -> 01:29 PM) Lets see how long this b**** fest can go on for AFTER a W. Only Soxtalk.... :headshake Seriously. It's friggin unreal. It was a very nice win. We have cooled down the 2nd hottest team in the AL.

QUOTE(qwerty @ Apr 12, 2006 -> 01:29 PM) Control doesn't just mean walks... he has not been able to spot anything. He's gotten beat on 2 pitches. One a meatball to the best hitter in the AL right now, and another a high, hard fastball to Reggie Sanders, that was a pretty good pitch. And then one walk in his first appearance. But whatever.

QUOTE(fathom @ Apr 12, 2006 -> 01:25 PM) I'm not too concerned about Jenks. I'd rather he give up a 2 run homer with a 3 run lead instead of walking Shelton, and bringing the tying run up to bat. This will be hypocritical of me to say, but I see no reason for complaining after this game. We won, Contreras dominated without striking out a lot of guys, and Thome is amazing. BTW...good job Ozzie handling the bullpen. What a great post. Seriously. There are things to b**** about on this team and going 3-3 in saves is NOT one of them. The guy is leading the f***ing AL in HR.

QUOTE(Felix @ Apr 12, 2006 -> 01:26 PM) Are you kidding? He might have gotten the saves, but he's looked horrible in terms of his control and allowing of HR's. He has given up only 1 walk in 18 ABs this year. He gave up a bomb to a guy that has a 1200 OPS this season and 3 HR in 3 straight games and a HR to a guy that leads the league in HR. Are you kidding?

QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Apr 12, 2006 -> 01:22 PM) I am a huge bobby jenks fan, and cant even spin it like this. Oh, my bad. Has he blown a game I didn't see. Has he given up more than the 2 runs to the 2 of the several hottest hitters in the AL? Does he have more than the 1 walk, or less that the 4 Ks? Seriously. There is nothing to spin.

QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Apr 12, 2006 -> 01:22 PM) Perfect in save situations but still looking fugly -- 6.23 ERA. Should be much lower with BAs gaffe. 3 straight saves in 3 straight games. Looks good to me.
-
Bobby still perfect on the season. Great win!!! Why should we worry about Bobby? He's perfect on the season, and has only given up that HR to Sanders (he has 3 in the last 3 games) and a bomb to the hottest hitter in the majors.

Damn BA

QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Apr 12, 2006 -> 01:05 PM) Uh, what happened with I Rod? Lined out to center. Jose is going to be incredible this year.
-
Phew. That's right. Forget you ump. Jose got out of it anyway. That really makes me mad. AWESOME DAY JOSE!!!!!
-
Man. Forget that ump. This is BS.

WHERE THE f*** was THAT?

QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Apr 12, 2006 -> 12:55 PM) Just got home. Have been listening/watching some at school. Any reason why Count is still in? Because he's awesome?

QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Apr 12, 2006 -> 12:32 PM) Nope, I'm just taking Farmer's word over yours. Farmer is talking about the play again and saying that it should have been an error and even Crede will admit it. You can take anyone's word you want to. It was a roller up the line that Crede had to go across his body to even field. Both Hawk and DJ saw the monitor and didn't even second guess it. Just assumed it'd be a hit, before the play was even scored. It was a tough play.
-
QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Apr 12, 2006 -> 12:30 PM) It should of been an error. It was a tough play, but makeable. Farmio is all over the official scorer on that one. QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Apr 12, 2006 -> 12:30 PM) Farmer said it should have been an error. Home scorer, dude. Did you guys see the play?
-
QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Apr 12, 2006 -> 12:29 PM) They give Placido a hit on that. Home scorer. That was a base hit all the way. Even if he fields it cleanly, it might not have been in time.

QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Apr 12, 2006 -> 12:28 PM) Crede with an E. Uh, no.
-
Shoulda tried the barehand. REal tough play.
-
QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Apr 12, 2006 -> 12:26 PM) I hate Monroe. Yep.
-
Very nice inning. Some really good ABs.
-
Cmon Crede. Just a fly ball.
-
Absolutely beautiful 3 ABs
-
Iguchi is second on the team with 6 walks I believe. Very nice OBP.

QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Apr 12, 2006 -> 12:05 PM) Ummm, before today's game... 27th ranked team offense (Chicago White Sox) You said other than Thome our offense has been brutal. Dye has been good, AJ has been good and Tadahito has been good. Unless Those three aren't counted as apart of our offense anymore that is an incorrect statement. I said our offense hasn't been great. That's fairly apparent.

QUOTE(SSH2005 @ Apr 12, 2006 -> 12:01 PM) Man, other than Thome our offense has been brutal. Four hitters other than Thome are hitting above .300. Our offense hasn't been great, but that's just an incorrect statement.
