FWIW, I've been very pleased with the amount of coverage the Sox have received this year. Today's Tribune Front page had 3 articles about the game. The Cubs were pushed to page 3 even though they won for once. I think if we are discussing pure number of articles, the Sox would be ahead of the Cubs. I have a hard time remembering the last time the Sox weren't on the front page of Tribune sports. If you are talking quality of the writing you have to take into account the season is 162 games long and how many "positive spin" pieces can you write (or would you really want to read)?? A brief note about Anderson pulling over the Mendoza line, or snippet about Ozzie Sensitivity classes are about all you need. Not everything is that print worthy.

Yesterday during BP - "Grady Sizemore, you have the best Porno name in the majors." He just turned around and stared at the fans in the outfield and stopped throwing balls to kids after that.

I thought this might amuse some people... Kenny Williams injury happened out on Lake Michigan this weekend but, no further details were given... While perusing the photos of a large sponsored boat party I came across a picture that might interest some people. Long time reader, first time post - I'm not sure if anyone else had large sections of Red Sox fans near their seats but, the Saturday night game was almost unbearable. Not only did the Sox look sloppy but, the Red Sox fans were merciless. I've been to a lot of Sox away games and have never acted like they did... does anyone know if it's typical for so many Red Sox fans to travel to see their team (our section was all from the New England area) and if Boston fans are normally so obnoxious??? I hate to lump all their fans together but, outside of the White Sox sloppiness getting me angry, they actually made it hard to sit through the game. Also, there were a ton of bandwagon Red Sox fans, kids etc. If the stars align and the White Sox advance to the W.S. what do you think will happen to our fanbase???
