Great change-up to Ordonez. You have to walk Cabrera here, as he's killed us in these situations this season.
I agree. Why pitch to him?

I'm confident we'll still finish top. Why Garrett abandoned the run I don't know, but I think yesterday was more of a wake-up call than anything.
On paper, we should be better than the Redskins for sure.
It seems like the Cowboys always abandon the run while in catchup mode. I think it's silly to run 0 back sets too. Why not keep the defense guessing?

Well the Bears D used to be "elite" and teams would just struggle to put up points against them at all.
And then when Mike Brown went down and you had Archuleta in at safety, and Chris Harris got traded (playing at a pro bowl level for Carolina now BTW), teams saw a weakness in the secondary and just decided, no we're not going to run against Tommie Harris and co., we'll just pass the ball al day long.
And last season it worked, and McNabb has pretty decent success last night also. Philly really should have done better last night, better red zone conversion and they win last night.
same can be said for the redskins. Better execution and they win by 14+
I'd have to rank the NFC east as follows
Giants
Redskins
Cowboys
Eagles

If anything I think Leyland will most likely leave pitchers in. Regardless of what is said, no one on the Tigers really gives a s*** about tomorrow. They don't want to be in Chicago. Leyland included. The only scary part is that Freddy probably is the only person that does care.
maybe Magglio too? Sheff for 500? scary thoughts

I hate knowing that Marlboro Man can basically empty his entire bullpen if the game is tied late into the game, and basically go pitcher to pitcher for almost any batter he wants
I would think he respects the game a little more than that.

Every single person out of that bullpen has failed us when it has mattered lately even Jenks.
aside from Dotel this week. Thornton has not been bad either and Clayton had a stint where he looked good last night.
I'm at peace too. I admit, things will look up if the Twins lose in the 1st round and the Cubs choke after a 3-1 lead. Just like 2003. I also feel good knowing how hard KW would take a collapse. He will make a few major moves like in 2005.

Uh, why should we completely stop talking about the best thing in the franchise's history??? I see no logic in that.
QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 27, 2008 -> 11:24 PM)
Let's go with lineup of Cabrera, AJP, Dye, Thome, Konerko, Griffey, Ramirez, Swisher, Uribe
horrible dfense in the outfield. But I would put swish in CF.

You actually could have started this thread about an hour or so ago.....
The way they have been playing, maybe even a week ago.
