They refs are bad and are making or missing calls every game, but this idea that certain teams are "getting" calls is conspiracy theory nonsense. All teams have calls that help them and hurt them.

Didn't the Packers benefit from the one pass interference review that was overturned this season? Some TD came off the board during halftime of week 2 or 3.
Yeah I believe it was the pick play against Denver. It was clearly a pick play and it was one of the few that has been overturned.

The Packers get all the calls because Aaron Rodgers is so cool!
They also pay the refs!

What the heck happened to Goff and that offense
OL is bad, Gurley injury problems and Goff has been bad.
I feel like Goff is good if he has everything going for him and now that is not the case.

Is signing Abreu to a two or three year deal at those numbers really "dramatically overpaying" him? Now a five year deal would seem to fit that more.
I'm going to go with Daniel Hudson or another RH RP as the first free agent signed.

Obviously there was a reason the Packers cut Clinton-Dix but Packers fans on Twitter have been saying all offseason that he sucks (clearly he doesn't) and that Amos is better (debatable at best), so this makes me wonder what it is they saw. I guess because their defense was such a mess for the whole time he was there he didn't really get to play a role.
He doesn't suck, but he did not play well his last two years in Green Bay and his half of season in Washington.
He was taking really bad angles on deep passes and was late to come over in coverage. His run defense was really bad, missed tackles, diving at feet and he generally seemed hesitant in his play.
He always had a game or two like he did in Washington. His first pick was a perfect example, late on coverage, but the throw was floated right to him, now he made a good catch and run after, but if he was facing an even average QB on that play, the pass is completed for a 15-20 yard gain.
I'm not going to get into the who is better, Clinton-Dix or Amos. It's been argued non stop for the past 5 months or whatever. I can say after 3 games, I'm pretty happy with Amos, really sure tackles so far and the middle of the field deep has been a no go for opposing qb's.
Personally I really like HaHa, he seemed like a really cool dude when he was with the Packers and does a lot of really good off the field, I think he still has some things going in Green Bay still.

well not every team has a elite passer on the bench waiting to take over so they have to take a chance on a journeyman until they find the guy. I know this is strange to you
I think I would take my chance with the rookie, couldn't be any worse.

Why do teams keep on giving Case Keenum starting jobs. He is really bad.

If the Bears win tonight the NFC North will be 9-2-1
It's going to be a four way battle.

I say the same thing when I watch the Chiefs. It's unbelievable
I'm not sure about "most overrated" but he needs a lot of talent, specifically pass rush talent, to make his scheme work. He doesn't like to blitz, so if in this case Miller and Chubb aren't getting to the QB, it's a struggle.
That is most defensive coordinators. Every coordinator has up and down seasons, but Fangio has been one of the better ones over the past 10 years or so.
The Broncos defense is actually playing pretty well, the sack thing is a bit of a fluke. Their offense is putting the defense in some really bad spots. Did so about 3 times yesterday.
-
The offense hasn't been as dynamic as it was last year, but the Rams wideouts are just always running wide open. They have some good WR, but I've never seen wideouts running so wide open. It's amazing, Goff sometimes throws to them and there isn't even a defender in view.

Is Vic Fangio the most overrated defensive coach in football?
Wut?

It is the NFL, but this seems like the end of his career. Even next year, he will be 32 and I can't see a team bringing him in.
Watch Washington sign him tomorrow....
-
Dolphins are going have three 1st round picks and 2nd round picks next year.
They need a QB, LT and CB. They literally just had two of those covered, so now they are just redrafting the positions they traded away.
Making a run for the worst franchise in football.

Anyone see the Klemko article about Antonio Brown this morning? It's hard for me to think of Brown as being an even bigger piece of shit than I already do, but here we are; man that article is tough to read. Guy lives an extravagant lifestyle but doesn't pay up
Just a bad person in almost every facet of life. Almost no way he should be able to play this entire year, but the NFL is going to NFL.

Maybe I'm wrong but at least division-wise feels like saints are in better shape than Steelers with how bucs/panthers looked.
Yeah, I'm not sure the Steelers were going anywhere anyways.
Saints are going to have to win on the road, which they struggle to do with Brees, so I'm not sure how that goes without him.
-
Brees out for 6 weeks, maybe more.
Roethlisberger out for the year.
Have to imagine those teams are in trouble.

On the slant to Ginn that got them in range for the final field goal, the color analyst(don't know who it was sounded like Deihl) pointed out that the corners were way too far off and then you could see Brees gesturing to Ginn, and basically telling him he was going to him, and the corners never budged. Spectacular breakdown
I saw that as well. I guess if you play press and Ginn beats the jam your really in trouble.
I guess in New Orleans if you score the go ahead TD, you better hope there isn't any time on the clock because Brees can march down that field so fast.

If Mitch can't outplay Carr against the Broncos we're in trouble.
Carr is the better QB and was at home, so it wouldn't be that surprising.
Denver is a tough place to play this time of year. Although that Bears defense should just crush that Denver offense.

I just will never get the three man rush. I'm sure there is a reason that they do it, but it always seems to end up like this.

For sure, but they've had 1 week of bad QB play. It was the first time they've dealt with it over a full game since week 3 of last season. The overreactions are just getting to be a bit much. If the Bears stay healthy and finish 8-8, then the entire coaching staff deserves to be fired
Well if they finish 8-8, either they suffered a ton of injuries on defense or Trubisky continued to be awful and if that's the case the GM should be fired for trading up to get an average QB and not taking two great ones.
But yeah, it's week 1, people always freak out after week 1.

Watson looked great yesterday, If they can protect him, he is going to have a monster year.

I've never seen such weird reactions to people saying that a 12-4 team might make the playoffs again. They're consistent across the media too
I think it has more to do with the league. There is a ton of turnover year to year with teams that make the playoffs. I would think that teams with great defenses and bad QB play have harder time making the playoffs every year than a team with elite QB play.
-
For how much crap the Browns talked about how good they were going to be this off season, they sure did get their ass beat yesterday.
