yeah we needed to try and keep up with the tigers. They are blowing through everybody and not slowing down. We need to beat a s***ty team like pittsburg
-
Ozzie almost has to start Jose. Jose has won like 20 starts in a row and is the most consistent pitcher in the majors. Plus wiht the confidence that ozzie is showing by starting jose could get him pumped up enough to have the second half like he did last year
stick with your man ozzie
-
either way, thats pretty cool that both multi homer games have Grand Slams involved
-
yeah i did hear that and i was extremely impressed. I thought at first it was at home. I also saw a lot of white sox clothing behind homeplate
nice job guys
-
and we will only get better in the category wiht our improved bullpen, our players konw how to play one run games
-
yeah teh central has gotten shafted on media coverage. Its alright with me, just another reason to keep kicking ass and taking names
-
that plate slap was bad-ass though, i love aj and the way he plays
On a side note, it was funny to see Jones slap the plate like it meant something
YOU ARE IN 5th PLACE IN YOUR DIVISION AND YOU JUST BROKE A 11 GAME HOME LOSING STREAK
YOU ARE NOT GOOD

montero was impressive wiht us and its good to know that him adn tracey got some playing time in case we need them later
-
what ever happened to coco, i konw he's on the red sox but i havent heard of him doing anything
is he injured or is he just sucking?
\
-
people are starting to realize that the sox know how to win adn will continue winning for many years wiht this lineup and style of play
lets just hope that im still able to get tickets in the next couple years (just kidding........i hope)

not to mention bobby is the most imitating pitcher (i believe) with a 100 mph fastball mixed with his big hook and now a 97 mph slider? he's untouchable and plays with passion
that a boy bobby

QUOTE(Cuck the Fubs @ Jun 27, 2006 -> 02:57 PM)I read on Wikipedia that Hawk bumped him on purpose at a Sox road game and Mariotti threatened to sue him.
haha i love hawk
-
yeah he was a huge pickup when the pirates first got him, but he has been going down.
i would take oliver perez in a second, he's a young lefty who can either eat up innnings in the bullpen or come out in game situations
go get him kenny
-
yeah that was a fun game to watch (which was surprising to me becasue i thought we would blow them out in the begining)
-
wait guys, what about juan uribe, he has been lighting it up wiht his exceptional hitting and his patience. Also he is the best defensive shortstop ever to play the game
-
i watched the cubs game after we beat the pirates yesterday and i noticed that zambrano went 2-3 with a two run homer while D-lee went 0-5 with two strikeouts. That had me wonder what the highest a pitcher has batted in a the lineup (not including double switches).
I know that jason Marquis on St. Louis does some pinch hitting for them but any pitcher ever batted like a 6 spot or 7 spot (babe ruth doesnt count)

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jun 27, 2006 -> 01:08 PM)The chair must not have shook hands with him...
No the chair has a picture of them shaking hands, that what bothered him the most, him getting caught in the act
-
its like
AL 101
NL 62
something like that but the winning percentage is a joke
-
tejada has been teamates with a lot of roid users including grimsley, palmerio, and giambi. He will be looked at soon adn i think baltimore wants to drop him before he gets the judge
-
hopefully ozzie doesnt see this and thinks its a challenge to who can flip out the most. I like how he blocked the umpires room
haha good stuff
-
what was the palmerio deal with the cubs?? didnt the cubs give him away because he wasnt a power hitter. I remember they traded him for some scrub on the orioles
-
wasnt navarro suppose to be the stud prospect in that big unit trade??
He hasnt done anything and now he is stuck with one of the most losingest teams ever year (that division is nails with yanks, bosoxs, and diamondbacks)
-
we go 9 in a row and lose one in extra innings, and after all that they gain a game on us??
what a f***ing tough team to catch up too

QUOTE(ZoomSlowik @ Jun 21, 2006 -> 01:47 PM)I'd love to see them trade Zumaya for Smoltz. The only Tiger starter he's out-pitching right now is Bonderman, and that's by .04. His ERA is bound to go up a little in the AL as well. He's still an above average starter, but he's no longer a difference maker. Giving up a young stud like Zumaya for basically 2 years of Smoltz would be pretty dumb.
i believe smoltz would be a be a great trade for us. He is a declining pitcher who is hurt this year because he has been switching from bullpen to rotation. He will get injured and that would help us indefiently
I hate the jump the gun but

I saw the boxscore today adn who got the loss and my heart almost stopped. Cliff Politte gave up a walk off HR to somebody (not good) on the pirates. I worry for him and i thought he would be better after coming off the DL (Granted i have to give him some time to get back into swing). I also remember Montero pitching extremely tough against the pirates last night and that got me wondering if politte should build up his confidence in AAA while Montero stays with us.
Just my thoughts, what about you guys
