Keep the faith. First time in awhile we've been burned by another team's goodluck. Both of those hits were softly hit. Stairs' hit would have been an easy out if Gooch wasn't positioned for the pull. Viz is still looking sharp.

I agree. I have no problem with the Twins being considered the favorite - they have proven three years running that they can last the season and be atop the Central standings when the season ends. What is frustrating is listening to uninformed analysis from guys that ESPN touts as "experts." The comment about our bullpen having problems is completely ignorant. No doubt Shingo has struggled, but the bullpen will be a strength of this team.

A friend of mine was sitting right next to the guy who threw the ball back. Apparently the guy claims he is neither a Cub fan or a Twins fan. All the fans next to him kept asking why he would throw the ball back and he had no answer for them (I can't imagine that being anyone's first reaction -- "hey, I got a home run ball . . . maybe the players want it back . . ."). I can't explain how stupid it is to go after a home run ball at, apparently, your home ballpark and then throw it back. He received a lot of crap for it the rest of the game. No doubt he'll think before he acts next time! Kudos to the fans who let him know that is not how business is done on this side of town!
