  1. Slam! Slam! Good Friday! Slam! Babe! Babe slam good friday! Slam Good Friday Babe!
  2. So...as far as I can tell...every time someone has made one of these threads complaining about a pitcher, saying they're finished, what's wrong, etc....the pitcher has responded with a solid game the next time out. Hopefully Garland responds similarly. And whoever is talking about not striking out enough people for a sinkerballer is just plain stupid, btw.
  3. A win is a win no matter how it happens. Yeesh. 38 damn hits in that game. Good work to everyone in our lineup except for our #9 and #1 hitters. No compliments to our pitching today.
  4. "Walker to the stretch, a look at third" - Farmer "Wait a second, there's no runner on third, why do I care that he's looking"? -Me
  5. Farmer's obsessed with the word slam.
  6. QUOTE(Steff @ Apr 13, 2006 -> 12:49 PM) Ed believes Jon is the pitcher of record...? Good grief.. :headshake Unless they tied the game up, he is, I believe.
  7. My God Bobby Seay has a fat face.
  8. Dye hits it down the left field line, Thome scores, Dye out at 2nd, inning over, 2 runs, 9-1 Sox.
  9. QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ Apr 13, 2006 -> 11:13 AM) I absolutely hate it when Thome hits a shot that hits the top of the wall or barely, barely misses. Podsednik scores on a Thome double. That ball leaves almost every park in the big leagues.
  10. Mr. Shelton...walk over to 2nd, and say hello to this week's player of the week in the AL.
  11. Thome doubles off the wall, Scott comes around to score
  12. Iguchi strikes out on 3 pitches, never took the bat off his shoulder
  13. Scott, I don't care if you get thrown out by IRoid...RUN
  14. Verlander's final ERA went from 0 at the start of this game to 6.52 at the end of it.
  15. By the way...last year, we didn't see our first 5 run inning until June, with Thomas back, facing the wonderful pitching staff of Arizona. This year...We've already had 2 that I can count.
  16. Come on BA...join the party. Get Cintron in...he's my PTC, and I could use the run scored.
  17. QUOTE(Controlled Chaos @ Apr 13, 2006 -> 10:55 AM) Who was worried about the Sox facing rookie pitchers?? And we didn't even need BA this time.
  18. Verlander started this game with an ERA of 0. He's leaving it with an ERA of 5.59, and the runner at 2nd is his.
  19. Crede singles to left, AJ scores, Crede to 2nd on the throw. Cintron up, still RISP. You know, this inning is going to really help our BA with RISP.
  20. Come on Crede, pour it on. Don't let hiim out of this inning.
  21. AJ doubles to right. 5-1 Sox.
  22. Come on AJ, don't line out on the first pitch again.
  23. 2 run single for Dye, takes 2nd on the throw home, good baserunning, nice 2 out rally for our 3-4-5 guys.
