Such a bummer. I can never remember feeling this dead about the Sox. It’s like I don’t even care anymore.

MLB aren't giving up TV contracts that cover 10 million plus people for a city below 1 million. Nashville isn't a real threat.
Not going to debate the TV contracts aren’t a consideration, but Oakland will be going to Vegas (far smaller population than the Bay Area).
A MLB team in Nashville would crush it if placed correctly and marketed.
Again you have to think about the next 15-20 years. IMO far far more appealing to be in Nashville than a slowly dying Chicago’s second fiddle

Would become one of the top franchises in MLB if they had the right owner and moved to Nashville. Skate to where the puck is going and GTH out of Illinois.
can’t believe I’m saying it but it’s true

This is such an embarrassing organization. If they were my parent back in middle school or high school I’d have them drop me off two miles from school so there’d be no chance of being seen with them.

There definitely seems to be some bitter motivation behind some of his less than effusive comments about the org of late.
Or maybe the motivation is that the organization is a complete dumpster fire?

Youths making silly decisions in Wrigleyville. This happened this afternoon around 3 PM.
Unrelated to this incident, do any of you plan to leave Chicagoland if you haven’t already yet?

So they are leaving the kids in Chicago while he's playing in New York? That doesn't make sense. So he's now a visiting player and wants to have the same benefits as Sox players?
I bet the Yankees allowed him to immediately use their day care.
It's an employee benefit. He's not an employee. If they can show examples of other visiting players being allowed to, then I'll join the chorus of boos. But for following the established rules? I'm not going to criticize my team.
The guy rips the organization on the way out the door then two weeks later "hey I know the rules but could you do me a favor and break them for me?"
So if you don’t know exactly the situation (and I admit I don’t either) you have a choice of who to believe. I choose to believe the s%*# show continues to be a s%*# show. This organization in its current state will never get the benefit of the doubt from me.

It’s a miracle Hahn hasn’t already traded him

Colson at 2!!!
This is an aggressive ranking, but nobody I spoke with has Montgomery outside of their top 10; most have him in their top five. Montgomery has a shot to be a plus hitter with plus power and play shortstop in the big leagues, so the idea is similar to Holliday, but you'd see differences if you watched them. Montgomery is bigger and stronger at 6-foot-3, is one notch slower on the bases and will probably settle at third base eventually, but he's in the Corey Seager range of size/speed/strength/feel: He could thread the needle and be the best of both worlds.

The children of visiting players aren’t allowed in the White Sox family daycare. Non story.
Because there’s no emotion after being part of a team all year. Things are purely black and white. Yawn. This organization lacks class and deserves zero benefit of the doubt on anything. Period end of story.

As bad as Hahn is, collecting failed high draft picks isn't a bad strategy. There was a reason they were picked high. The problem is the White Sox don't seem to be able to bring out the best in most players.
It’s a low pressure environment here being around so many other failures.

if during this off season the Tigers decided to put Javy Baez on the market would you want the Sox to take a run on him? What if they agreed to eat half of his salary? i’m guessing Detroit would agree to about any trade for him. i know his numbers are BRUTAL with the Tigers, but is there a chance this guy can turn it around?
How can someone watch this ball club and think the answer is Javy?!

Clearly Hahn never looked at players Instagram accounts before trading for them. There were red flags from the start.

I have to give the White Sox credit. Never in a million years could I have come up with a season this f’d up. You can’t make it up. And each week they seem to one up it! So bad you have to laugh!

We just need to make sure Anderson goes nowhere near Colson

Sheesh we can’t even win a fight this season

Batista sounds very raw but also clearly super talented. It’s possible LA is in on a prospect that we have no chance at and this is a win win scenario.
