Maybe I'ma bit superstitious, and maybe I'm missing something, but Carlos was hitting better than that when he was with us, no? He had, what? 30 Homers last year? And somehwere around 28 game hit streak? I'm prolly off on those numbers by a bit but u get the point.

I agree. I miss Carlos. When I heard he was traded, I went nuts. The thing is, Scotty is REALLY good, and damn, but I dunno..... was it worth it....?

Well that's your opinion, and it makes sense to me ina way, but is that really a reason to hate the person(s)? Are they not human? Even if I was a pro baseball player, I'm sure hearing fans cheering me on would help me play a bit better, moreso than hearing my own fans boo me. make of it what you will. Everyone deserves to be supported, that's all I'm saying. If the guy made 50 dollars a game, the same thing would probably happen.

Well, booing him won't help his self-esteem any I think of cheering someone as support, too. Not just as some reward for playing well. I can understand the frustration, but IMO making insults towards these players when they aren't their best isn't really right. Personally I despise the "If you're doing good we love you, if ur not doing good we hate you" attitude that it seems is quite common, especially in Chicago(Sox anyway). Everyone goes through slumps. Ease off a bit on the "eat s***" and "Cocks" and all that other crap, jeez. I realize it's frustrating if not everything is perfect, but that's how it is.

Not a WHOLE lot happened, but that which did was hilarious. I cannot believe Scotty was caught in a pickle and swerved the first baseman(who dropped the damn ball) and got back to first. LMAO I've never laughed that hard at anything I've seen in baseball(including Ventura's fight with Nolan Ryan)! It was just so hilarious. Idiots. LMAO. And then we had the same thing happen on an easy play, the first baseman drops the ball and Iguchi easily makes it to first base. I'm not sure if SI still amkes "Baseball Bloopers" videos, but if so that shoudl definitely be on there. And if tehy don't make them anymore, I'll start a damn petition to have them continue making them. Hell they might have made only the one for all I know(which I own), but either way, they need to be made.

O_O Now that I think about it, I lost interest in the Sox before last season. I didn't watch many games for a long period of time. I had no idea Maggs was with the Sox so long........ (Just so you guys know, now I am a die-hard Sox fan, more a fan now than I ever have been, and it's gonna stay that way. GO SOX!)

Nice. All the support is great. And u guys have reminded me of some of Hawk's best lines. Anyways, we all miss Tom, but I think DJ is a sound and fun announcer. But I saw teh game yesterday where Hawk, DJ, AND Robin announced and I wish they would make that permanent. Who says 3 commentators are too much? it seemed to create a lot more conversation opportunites.

Ok, I may be no baseball expert, but I have to ask why everyone disses them. I've heard things about D.J. not being very insightful. Well I have to disagree. He seems to know a lot about what he's talking about. he also happens to be pretty enthusiastic. Can't really say the same about Steve Stone. I dunno, maybe it's just his voice. Anyway, Hawk may be an old timer, but he's got a lot more spunk than a lot of more experienced announcers. And as far as insight goes, who can argue with the idea of insight behind Hawk? He has quite a lot of wisdom. Anyways, I see them as 2 fun announcers who know what they are talking about. Why all the hate? BTW whats the email address to email them at Comcast Sports Net?
