    Fixed.

He says he hates it on tv, but how can you hate a nickname that means you are the fcukn man. He probably has it tattooed on his ass. Until we think of a better nickname for him, the slayer has to stay.

Also, T-pain is an awesome nickname.

And lets not forget the Hawkaroo, the stone pony, and wimpy.

We're not talking Carlos Quentin vs. Albert Pujols here, we're talking about the near 2008 MVP vs. a prospect who has proven absolutely nothing above AA so far. There's nothing to ponder about this one.

I was trying to come from a what have you done for me lately type thing. Obviously during 2008 it was the best trade in the world. during 2010 could possibly be a different story. It won't be IMO, just being devil's advocate, didn't want anybody burnt at the stake

  3. I am glad to see there is this much love for olivo around soxtalk so far. However, there is no way considering our current roster. Plus didn't Ozzie order a bean on him? or a pitch meant to hit him for all the people about to get pissed at me for misusing the term.

The wierdest injury I've ever seen on the field was when a La Crosse player had his scrotum slit open by another player's broken stick. A testicle came rolling out but still attached. It was hanging like a yo-yo. I picked it up with a towel, handed it to him and said "I think this belongs to you." The ambulance took him to the ER and later on I found out the MD just rolled it up and sutured up the scrotum and it was fine.

Moral of the story: YES,WEAR A CUP!!!

That is a hilarious story. La Crosse players have a f***ed up sense of humor.

  5. Got into managing a golf course this summer. I'll graduate from SIU in December and after that I'll be the general manager. I have degrees in Finance and Economics though, so hopefully I won't be at the golf course for too long. I'm planning on going to grad school after a couple years of this, then workin for a strong financial company analyzing securities hopefully. Gotta be close to a computer so i can get my number of posts up on soxtalk.

  6. My drunken father was cussing at ozzie last night in the 8th inning for letting pods swing away instead of bunting with no outs and a man on 1st and 3rd. My Dad called his play the safety squeeze by the way. I told him i didn't like the idea because the corners were in so it would be very unlikely that the man on third scores unless it was a full squeeze play. You also risk the runner being thrown out at second. He backed his play by saying you get rid of the double play, and it puts pressure on the defense. He also stated how we had good speed on the bases. So is my drunken dad still smarter than me, or are his coaching methods a waste of outs and only for girls softball? I leave it up to you soxtalk.
