  1. I will. If you want me to do some scouting on mildly trendy but ultimately whitewashed, boring suburban sprawl for you to move to once you're over Seattle I will. Don't worry, it won't be too interesting of a place and I'll make sure they have a pro sports team you can easily coopt when you feel like being a part of something, you soulless, meandering catalyst for our vapid, weak generation that thinks actual work is below them.

  2. My bad didn't realize I-5 was shut down. Also didn't check your award winning blog pathethic-loser-truckdriver.tumbler.com to know that Oregon and California are not on your next route.

I meant out-out, not the most direct route to your insufferable twin siblings in BC and Oregon. But I'm glad you've been living in Seattle at least long enough to know what I-5 is. At least Soxtalk's only true DIEHARD12THMANTOTHECORE Seahawks fan may finally get to enjoy what he's been waiting for all his life.

  3. For two people?!

I can't go to a bar/pub by myself and spend less than 20$, and that's what I spend before I'm about to play an actual league hockey game. Going out to watch a game?! That's like 2-4 hours depending on the sport...and 4-5 bud lights isn't all I'd be drinking, not to mention eating...plus tip.

Well I'm not really looking to get trashed. A few beers, watch the game, go home. Eat before you go too so you're not hungry.

I don't know, it wasn't so bad. I'd rather pay $10 to get out of the house than $5 to stay in it.

  4. Alright, I understand that Atlanta is not prepared for inclement winter weather. But this is 4 inches of snow. That's not inclement winter weather, that can happen just about anywhere in the USA save SoCal, Hawaii and Florida.

And the city is in total chaos. Like I was embarrassed for Chicago when people got caught on US41 in what was a bad but not pants s***ting storm. But this is pathetic, is everyone in Atlanta a hopeless retard? How the f*** does this happen?

  5. Careful, they are the best and loudest fans in the whole wide world. Just ask them, they will happily tell you. Or don't, they will still tell you.

From Spokane to Seattle--it's everywhere. And not just "Go Seahawks!" because Denver businesses and much of Colorado have "Go Broncos" s*** up and it doesn't bother me at all. It's just all 12th Man 12th Man 12th Man.... over and over and over. There's hardly any Seahawks s*** that isn't directly paying homage to the fans, it's just self glorifying crap.

That and you got people with Michigan, Illinois, California (though this could be defensible), Florida license plates with 12th Man flags on their car. Like, yea... it's just a big fat PNW bandwagon.

  6. When I was living in Chicago I did this. I found myself going to many more games and going to establishments to watch them on TV there. Yea, I missed some games here and there, but it was a much enjoyable experience than just plopping on the couch like a slug.

  7. That Can't Hold Us song was OK the first couple times I heard it. Obviously it wound up being annoying. Kendrick Lamar is the worst, unlistenable garbage. That Backseat Freestyle song is some of the worst s*** I've ever heard that I was supposed to take seriously (the new Arcade Fire comes to mind as being worse, but not by much). So they both suck, which should shock absolutely nobody since rap has gone completely bereft of creativity.

  8. Yea more often than not the people doing the really irksome s*** are pretty clearly sober. Drunks mostly keep their distance from the u 76ft long truck. I'll take 2 AM bars letting out vs 90/94 in Chicago or 75 through Atlanta any day

  9. What you say about the keys not being in the truck is not true in Illinois. In fact, you've made many, many statements in this thread that are completely incorrect. Your "knowledge" of the basic facts of BAC, the laws concerning it, its effects on driving, and the research into it are just infuriatingly off. I cannot believe a person can be so ignorant. I honestly believe you're being intentionally obtuse.

Illinois is but one of 48 states I work in. There is a downright adversarial relationship between law enforcement and drivers in many states, though not much in the midwest. My little green book of federal regs is purposely ambiguous over alcohol and mostly just tells employers to set a zero tolerance policy (though not directly).

And I'm saying all that research and studies and propaganda forced on us is bulls*** because I know what I experience and see. I don't need a study, I've driven drunk before and I see drunks pretty regularly out on the road. They don't bother me most of the time.

  10. They'd also take the opportunity to tear my truck apart, undoubtedly finding my guns and depending which state I'm in I'd be assf***ed by mandatory minimum sentencing for that crap.

  11. I have maybe $100 or so worth of booze a month. I had to give it up almost completely because the .04 limit and I can't even sleep in my truck if I've been drinking because me in truck + alcohol in my system = Hardcore CMV DUI. That's forever losing my A license and automatic jail. The key to the truck could be in Bangladesh and they'd still throw the book at me for sleeping in what is essentially my home.

How'd you like it if I barged into your house, woke you up and breathelyzed you? If you resist or complain about that, well, you must just have a drinking problem you f***ing lush.

If I want to get drunk I have to get a hotel. I do sometimes, once or twice a month when I've had a particularly bad day, but I'd hardly call that a problem.

What kind of fearful state worshipping f***ing idiot reads that and thinks "Yea! Great idea!" Ugh, then the part with the heroes doing their work its just sickening.

  13. Duke, you now simultaneously really, really don't trust your fellow man to the extent that implementing your worldview makes you more likely to die while also trusting your fellow man enough that implementing your worldview will make you more likely to die -- I point out the "you dying" part because I assume it is the part of most interest to you

FWIW, I'm lukewarm to MADD too. I am of the belief that much of what leads to drunk driving is trying to restrict access to alcohol -- most chronic drunk drivers start drinking and driving before they are of legal age to drink. Many start drunk driving in an effort to hide the fact of their drinking. MADD has become as much anti-alcohol in recent years as it has anti-drunk driving, at least on an organizational level. There are certainly evils to beware of when it comes to alcohol, but attempts to restrict access just lead to more problematic consumption habits. Imagine if the majority of the average college student's alcohol consumption wasn't done with the interest in getting drunk as quickly as possible in an interest of remaining out of sight of authorities.

The most common denominator of countries like us that are doing much better at preventing DUI death is the fact they have a much healthier overall alcohol culture. They all also crack down on DUIs, but in different ways -- some try to catch everyone with a minor punishment while others have mandatory prison sentences. It is all made easier by healthier general consumption. When I mentioned Australia and UK earlier, they both drink more alcohol per person than USA yet have much less of a problem with drunk driving. Many have speculated that this can be attributed to the relative non-restriction of access to alcohol. If it's always there, you won't go crazy to get it

I don't like being told what to do, thus I can't tell other what to do. I just have to leave it up to their personal responsibility which, obviously, in this country pretty putrid. But eh, I'll put up with it if it means I can do more stuff without being told no by the nanny state.

  14. It's interesting you didn't write "accident". A friend of mine is a local director for MADD and they are very explicit to not call it an accident.

Whoa, you mean one of Satan's avatars confides in you? I'll give you $100 if you can sneak into their harem and get a picture of them without anything covering their horns.
