QUOTE(shoota @ Sep 1, 2006 -> 09:25 PM) Really? I've been listenting to Farmer. Did DJ say it in Borat's accent? Yes FArmer mention that a slam gets us within 2?

DJ once again using Borat's "that's a nice"

Damaso Cotts is pretty short. Perhaps the best way for him to help our team is if Thome rolled him into a ball and we used him to pitch to the opposition. We might get some wicked movement with the contours on the Cotts ball.

QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 1, 2006 -> 08:51 PM) Is Contreras still better than Santana? I've never heard Jose play the guitar.

DJ seems to mention 'swinging for the fences' for almost every batter now.

QUOTE(santo=dorf @ Sep 1, 2006 -> 08:30 PM) Crede just loves hitting in front of his family. He was raised by wolves.

QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Sep 1, 2006 -> 08:22 PM) Actually, according to Gameday, all 7 of Jose's runs are now earned. That will certainly change.

QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 1, 2006 -> 08:15 PM) There's no excuse for his managing. And no reporters question him.

There is no way I look at this team and think 2006 World Champions.

Well at least Ozzie doesn't even preach defense anymore. It's the one part of the formula for winning that he has completely abandoned.

I have very little optimism for this game.

QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 1, 2006 -> 08:09 PM) Hawk was saying at the beginning of the game how concerned he is about this series. Several of us said this in the past few days.

QUOTE(CYGarland @ Sep 1, 2006 -> 08:08 PM) Is it possible he could hit in every spot in the lineup? we can have Ghost baserunners for him when he gets on base, like in grammar school Yeah that's what I was thinking.

QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Sep 1, 2006 -> 08:05 PM) Odd we have had different players yet the same approach every year. Pull, Pull and Pull. Do you blame scouting? Couching?

QUOTE(beautox @ Sep 1, 2006 -> 08:03 PM) AJ has said that catching his knuckle isn't any harder than catching Jose's fork. That would be such an odd line to read for a non-baseball fan.

Too bad JD can't bat in 3 or more spots in our lineup, simultaneously.
