  1. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 15, 2009 -> 02:10 PM) So what does science say was there before the big bang? See M-Theory for one possibility.
  2. We start looking like a dictatorship if term limits are repealed. See Mayor Daley.
  3. QUOTE (jasonxctf @ Jul 15, 2009 -> 01:51 PM) they only thing we totally disagree with is guns. my unpopular opinion would be that guns have no place in modern society and should be outlawed for consumer use/ownership. See post #1 in this thread.
  4. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Jul 15, 2009 -> 01:45 PM) Tell us how you really feel. And when can we all meet up for church?
  5. QUOTE (SHIPPS @ Jul 15, 2009 -> 01:38 PM) Soxtalk feels weird today...I cant put my finger on it...it just feels weird. No baseball going on. People getting antsy.

    QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jul 15, 2009 -> 11:53 AM) I'll tell you what... Apple does a great job with their advertising. "I want video and cut-and-paste", just like their commercial told you to. FYI, the Palm Pre already has both functions. Unfortunately, the EAS support is really poor and it's pissing me off. I should have checked here first but I asked about the Pre in the catch all thread. Overall what do you think of it?
  7. PM'd you GoSox. BTW, anyone have a Palm Pre? Curious what people think.
  8. Pretty excited to get my tattoo this weekend.
  9. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 15, 2009 -> 11:44 AM) If we can get ourselves off of fossil fuel energy and on to renewable energy, then ending battles over water is a simple matter of building more solar plants. You completely lost me there. What does solar power have to do with water? EDIT: knightni saves the day
  10. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 15, 2009 -> 11:36 AM) I'd counter that population expansion inside the U.S. isn't the problem (hell, we have a 10 year supply of affordable housing already built for them for some reason!). It's population expansion in the developing world, like it has been for the last 40 years. Housing is one thing but I'm talking about natural resources like water.
  11. QUOTE (Controlled Chaos @ Jul 15, 2009 -> 10:37 AM) What's #2 about? I just think population expansion is getting too large and resources of all kind will be dwindling in no time.
  12. QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Jul 15, 2009 -> 10:23 AM) Restore full relations with Cuba. I'd have to think a majority of people agree on that one.
  13. Meat eaters should be required to work at a meat processing plant for a week every year. Fur coat purchasers should be required to work at a fur processing facility for a week before they buy a fur.
  14. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Jul 15, 2009 -> 09:39 AM) Nicely done, Middle Buffalo. Does anyone think this will have an effect on the immediate sales of White Sox merchandise and popularity of the team? I doubt it would be a much of an impact.
  15. QUOTE (EvilJester99 @ Jul 15, 2009 -> 09:16 AM) My unpopular opinion is that God is a fairy tale cooked up to gain control over the mindless masses, who would be willing to believe in the invisible man. +1
  16. I just think it loses its meaning when it's played at every single sporting event. I'd bet less than 10% even sing it. Save it for the championship games of each sport.
  17. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Jul 14, 2009 -> 11:36 PM) I have no problem with the National Anthem before the game, I like it and find it to be a proper respect to play it before the games as a reminder why we are able to enjoy such freedoms as a sporting event. I just never understood the connection. We enjoy freedoms everywhere in our lives here in America. Should we do the national anthem at every music event, before the markets open on Wall Street, whenever we go bowling, at comedy clubs, at Chuck E Cheese? It just seems arbitrary.
  18. QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Jul 15, 2009 -> 07:12 AM) Who practices eugenics? An how would that be an unpopular opinion?
  19. QUOTE (Brian @ Jul 14, 2009 -> 10:26 PM) They said Zimmerman donated $250,000 to a little league. How much does he make a year? $260,000
  20. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 14, 2009 -> 09:18 PM) Link *facepalm*
  21. QUOTE (rangercal @ Jul 14, 2009 -> 08:53 PM) That makes no sense. Everyone knows he's a sox fan. Maybe everyone in Chicago.
  22. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 14, 2009 -> 04:43 PM) Harold Reynolds is pretty awesome as a "sideline reporter". And sounds like Chris Rock when you get him going.
  23. QUOTE (bmags @ Jul 14, 2009 -> 04:52 PM) Sega or Phil Collins?
  24. QUOTE (BobDylan @ Jul 14, 2009 -> 04:47 PM) Heh. He forgot to add the disclaimer that he lives in Toronto.
