I have no problem with the National Anthem before the game, I like it and find it to be a proper respect to play it before the games as a reminder why we are able to enjoy such freedoms as a sporting event.
I just never understood the connection. We enjoy freedoms everywhere in our lives here in America. Should we do the national anthem at every music event, before the markets open on Wall Street, whenever we go bowling, at comedy clubs, at Chuck E Cheese? It just seems arbitrary.
