QUOTE(longshot7 @ Jul 12, 2005 -> 09:36 PM) the scorer gets their choice for the all-star winner if it's not clear - the 5 inning rule is lifted in the ASG. I think it will be Buehrle. why wouldn't it be? I didn't know how that worked. It should be Buehrle then.- Official All-Star Game Thread 7-12-05
Anyone else feel kind of sorry for Kenny Rogers? He has apologized and will be serving a suspension. He has had a kickass season...- Official All-Star Game Thread 7-12-05
QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jul 12, 2005 -> 09:31 PM) It has to all be different rules for the ASG. Ahh, who even cares as long as he didn't make an ass of himself. I just didn't want our guys to give up runs, and they didn't. I concur. Buehrle looked stellar out there.- Official All-Star Game Thread 7-12-05
QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jul 12, 2005 -> 09:26 PM) So, Buehrle is pretty much assured the win, right? Is that how it works? I didn't think the guy who only went the first two innings could get a win?- Official All-Star Game Thread 7-12-05
Teixiera baby!- Official All-Star Game Thread 7-12-05
Yeah, I wouldn't mind seeing some Pauly love... Sox pitching.- Official All-Star Game Thread 7-12-05
I'm not so sure Santana belongs in the ASG. 7 wins with a near 4 ERA? There's a lot more deserving starters than that. PS, WHERE'S JON?- Photoshop CS
Hey guys, I just acquired a copy of Adobe Photoshop CS and was wondering if anyone here uses that particular version. I plan on tutoring myself on how to use it, and then perhaps start making some sigs. I was just curiuos if that is the version that all you sox heads use.- answer me this...
QUOTE(soxhawks @ Jul 12, 2005 -> 05:50 PM) the question shouldnt be who have we beaten, but who has beaten us? that's easy. the athletics.- AJ as clubhouse cancer?
QUOTE(marsh @ Jul 12, 2005 -> 05:23 PM) You misunderstood. He's a clubhouse Dancer. Does a wicked cabbage patch i hear. nice- Feelings on the Hawk
Hawk... yes.- AJ as clubhouse cancer?
I was listening Mac, Jurko, and Harry and they interviewed Paul Konerko. They brought up the fact that AJ Pierzynski purchased a bottle of Dom Perignon for the four boys that made the All-Star team. This further and further pushes the idea of AJ as a clubhouse cancer out of my head. As far as I'm concerned, those boys in San Francisco were full of s*** and a bunch of whiney girly-men. AJ has proven to be an incredible signing, and possibly this team's MVP. AJ... yes. KW... yes. AJ Good luck tonight Buehrls, Big John, Pauly, and Spods.- Drinking on the fandeck . . .
I would also go with Mark.- Official All-Star Game Thread 7-12-05
QUOTE(nitetrain8601 @ Jul 12, 2005 -> 12:22 PM) A ripoff for the price of the WS tickets. It'll probably only be an hour. Actually, I was at one of Mulder's recent starts down in St. Louie, and he looks downright bad, recently. Every ball is up, and there were countless trips to the pitchers mound. His last outting wasn't any better. I believe there is something wrong with his shoulder. He's giving up long ball after long ball. What do you guys think? Will Buehrle be followed by Garland, or will they throw some other douchebag in there in between the two? I think it would be awesome to have Buehrls relieved by Big John.- Sportsnite piece on the Sox last night
QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Jul 12, 2005 -> 02:17 PM) This may also be a terrible trade in the long run for the Brewers, as they only have Lee under contract (team option) in 2006, and it's hard to believe that if he puts up numbers like this year in 06 as well, the Brew Crew will be able to sign him. Therefore, they'll have exactly 1 year in which to make a run at the playoffs with Lee, and then they'll lose him. ...and the Brewers aren't making any runs at the playoffs in the near future with that pitching staff of theirs.- RYNO SOX PICKS SOX TO GO TO SERIES
QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jul 12, 2005 -> 04:16 PM) I agree....nobody cares about your thoughts aboz. burned- Buehrle's dad stars in roast of Maddux
I love Mark, and now, I love John Buehrle- What would you do if the Sox won the World Series?
I would be content in the sports world. Out of all my favorite teams (White Sox, Blackhawks, Bears, Bulls) I would be most elated if the White Sox were able to win. I would not stop talking about it for the rest of my life. If they won, i don't know what I would do, because I cannot fathom it.- TRADE THREAD III ~July 9 - July 15
QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Jul 11, 2005 -> 04:20 PM) Oh, no. I totally understand. Shoot, if I was older I would question a 15 year old too. But seriously, Girffey is part his prime. Yes, he is still a great player and could improve the team but for someone to say that he is better defensively that Aaron....come on? Sure, maybe in 1998 yes, but now, no. He is 35 or 36 right now and IMO, he wont have any Bonds type seasons to end his career. Now, on the part of hitting against RHP, he is an upgrade over Aaron but to me, it isn;t worth the defensive downgrade. Actually, he bats .287 vs LHP and RHP so TIFWIW. just to make sure you understand, i wasnt even questioning your knowledge at 15, ive read your posts. i was questioning it as a 9 year old. - Official All-Star Game Thread 7-12-05
