  1. Hopefully we hit this lefty, and Garland finds his groove again.
  2. maybe someone needs to realize that we are only 68 games into this season. there are still 96 games left, or rather 59% of the entire season left. 8.5 games is not that much to make up in that time. Have you guys been White Sox fans for more than 2 months? We are a team that is known to blow it in the second half. Look at our 2003 team! How did they blow it? The Twins are a well managed ball club that is really, really good. I don't fear the Indians as much as the Twins, but the Tribe are an incredibly well balanced offensive club that should have been clubbing all season, and they have a good rotation. I love this White Sox team, and I pray that they do well, and I would cry like a little girl if they won the Series. HOWEVER, this season is still young, and there are many battles ahead. We may have come back to win against the Dodgers two games in a row, but some would say that we shouldn't have been down to a .500 team so late in the games anyway. We need to start hitting, and not waiting for the other team's starters to roll their ankles. Let's go Sox!

  4. Id love to agree with you, but the one problem i see with this Sox team is still their offense. I worry about it. Any team that can be shutout by Shawn Estes needs to get something going with their offense big time.
  5. Are you working on striking out less? We don't need Corey Patterson.
  6. um, so when did Ryan Sweeney start to suck?
  7. you know who was on the juice? randy johnson. hes lost 8 mph off his fastball since dropping it. if you look at him during his heyday, he had all of the signs. acne, giant neck, irritable.
  8. Joe Crede is what we have seen. I really don't see someone who does what he does breaking out and becoming Scott Rolen, or even David Wright. The problem is, Crede doesn't know what he wants to be. I honestly think that he can hit .280, hell even .300, but then he has no power and will just spray singles to right field. I think we have our choice of two Crede's. a) 20 home run Crede, with a .235 average B) 10 home run Crede, with a .260-.270 average. I don't think we will get power with the average, but one or the other.
  9. Wow, that guy is nuts to say Patterson is better than Rowand right now. The only thing Patterson is better at currently is hitting homeruns. He has fewer RBIs, lower batting average, and a thousand more strikeouts. Nice work, tribune.
  10. gotta love carl
  11. QUOTE(nvxplorer @ Jun 14, 2005 -> 04:56 PM) The joke sounded like an afterthought. Ozzie was asked if he'd play Frank, and Ozzie said, "Yes, I'm going to play him tomorrow." Then he paused and said, "So if you want to see him, you have to come to the ballpark." He was mocking a previous question on attendance. I think Ozzie was just deflecting the question, and I don't blame him. It's possible he didn't know at that point whether Frank would play, but even if he did, he doesn't want to give the media any reason to blow things out of proportion. Franklin will be available to pinch hit. :finger
  12. PS I believe the Rowand lead-off experiment is officially over. When Scotty Pods is not in the lineup, I'm all for leading off with Pablo.
  13. QUOTE(skidoochic @ Jun 14, 2005 -> 03:47 PM) Looks like a good line up to me, but I repeat my concern with El Duque and A.J. . Those two just don't seem to click. I believe it is El Duque that doesn't click. If he is leaving balls up in the zone, we are in trouble. However, I think we're getting a little carried away with the 'zona talk. The Diamondbacks are not amazing, just had a hot night last night. Vazquez is not untouchable, and I think the Sox will be fine. Besides, we tagged Vazquez for 8 runs in Spring Training over 3 innings, I believe. If that gives any of you a glimmer of hope.
  14. Just heard the lineup on Mac, Jurko, and Harry Pod Iguchi Rowand Konerko Everett Dye Pierzynski Crede Uribe pretty good lineup... Frank is hurt
  15. Come on boys! Drink up , enjoy the game. If the White Sox have shown us one thing this year, it's their ability to bounce back! The Sox did have trouble with Estes, but look at what Sergio Metrie did last week for those guys across town... every now and then somone pitches out of their ass. Now, I'm more concerned about Frank's inability to play back-to-back games, because we need him in there.
