  7. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 31, 2008 -> 11:20 AM) Can we please just end the Joe Crede Experience? 2 for 16 with a triple - that's hot.
  8. i thought for sure crede tweaked his back rounding 2b on that triple last night.
  9. i'd like to see some good AB's and some runs cross the plate just so there's something to build on for the weekend.
  10. i love these kc castoffs in big moments
  11. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 29, 2008 -> 04:56 PM) Get out of jams? Didn't DJ say that batters are hitting .292 against him with RISP and 2 outs? then i guess it could be much worse.
  12. he's more scared of pedroia than papi?
  13. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 29, 2008 -> 04:53 PM) Javy's allowed 10 hits in 5 innings of baseball...not exactly a stellar outing. However, this offense just looks lethargic. but he's always been a strikeout pitcher and that allows him to get out of jams. always has. he's done well tonight, imo. Against another pitcher the Sox would be in this game.
  14. aj pull thy f***ing head out of your ass.
  15. i don't see what the point is in discussing javy's struggles - he hasn't been that bad tonight. The story of this game is the role of b**** played by the white sox to one dice-k. we're the only team cora hits. nice job, aj.
  16. QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Aug 29, 2008 -> 04:34 PM) are kidding? yeah, it would've been green but those stupid little color buttons are hard to navigate. how about we stop yielding so many runs with 2 outs?
  17. When he's on, I figure Javy's always going to give up 3-4 runs against good teams, 0-2 against scrubs. I just hoped the Sox would be able to score tonight, but it looks like DK has their #. Not good for playoffs.
  18. I like our chances in a battle of the bullpens
  19. sawks got good news on beckett, his elbow is fine. just needs some rest.
  20. QUOTE (Tony82087 @ Aug 28, 2008 -> 06:37 PM) Something like this happens almost every year. An underacheiving team that has nothing to play for anymore plays loose, and rattles off some meaningless W's at the end of the year. They will play spoiler to a few teams, but thats about it. the fact that they will likely be at or over .500 next week when the sox roll in is an eye-opener, IMO, considering where they were. worst case scenario for us is that they sweep and are only 5-6 games out of first with three 1/2 weeks to go. Still a huge challenge, but not out of the realm of possibility.
  21. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Aug 29, 2008 -> 11:22 AM) Then this really should be Crede's breakout series. He's probably the most pull-happy power hitter the Sox have. if only he would stop with that weak ass slap-it-right swing. Same s*** paulie was doing the last few months.
