According to ESPNews, Torii Hunter has a torn tendon in his ankle that will keep him out four to six weeks. Quite a loss for the Twins. They now have to trade for some offense. Lew Ford just isn't playing like a starting outfielder this season

The three-team deal between the Red Sox, Mets and Devil Rays is currently on life support, a source told ESPN.com. The Providence Journal's Sean McAdam says there are five teams involved in talks with the Red Sox regarding Manny Ramirez and that the three-team trade with the Mets and Rays is the least likely scenario right now. McAdam said two other NL clubs and two AL clubs, one the White Sox, are looking at Ramirez. We're guessing the Cubs and maybe the Dodgers are the NL clubs. The Angels would make sense as the other AL team.

Dodgers designated RHP Scott Erickson for assignment. And just when he had finally lifted his strikeout total (15) above his number of homers allowed (12). Erickson had a 6.02 ERA in 55 1/3 IP over eight starts and 11 relief appearances. There shouldn't be much demand for his services

While trying to make another amazing catch off the bat of Ortiz, TH got his spike caught in the padding at Fenway and LOOKED to seriously hurt his left ankle/achilles. After a 10 minute delay, he was taken off the field on a cart and looked to be in some serious pain!!!

Torii Hunter just hurt himself in the triangle at Fenway in Center, looks like an Achilles injury, looks bad right now!!! Looks like his toe hit the padding and he snapped his foot down... the NESN announcers are more concerned if it was a HR... JAGS!!! Seriously Hunter is in a TON of pain!!! TH can not stand on his own they are taking him off on a stretcher!!!
