  1. The Messiah is out AGAIN and Why do we keep taking 1st pitch fastballs around the middle of the plate?
  2. QUOTE(Frankensteiner @ Jul 9, 2006 -> 12:28 PM) Anyone still want to argue that we have better pitching than the Red Sox? Yeah Beckett looked GREAT yesterday, and We let Lester off the hook BIG time on Friday. IMO we have better starters, but besides Garland, none of them are pitching well right now.
  3. WOW, we escaped a HUUUGE jam there, now MAYBE we can score some f***ing runs off of c***
  4. this 4 day break is going to be just what i need, after this weekend's debacle
  5. Keep walking Crisp Jose, thats just an automatic double
  6. QUOTE(stretchstretch @ Jul 9, 2006 -> 12:09 PM) Boston would beat us 10 out of 10 games right now if this went for 7 more games, we literally can do absolutely nothing right, 3-4-5 hitters completely ineffective, can't bunt, can't steal, can't get a lucky bloop to fall even,, that NL weakass pitching created a mirage for the past month on how good this team really is
  7. QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 9, 2006 -> 12:06 PM) Pods with an amazing AB. It seems like we're playing not to lose this series, while the Red Sox have been very aggressive. Why not implement a 3-1 hit-and-run with Pods at the dish? I would have liked to see the hit n run put on the 1st pitch, but i guess Oz is waiting for the 3 run homer
  8. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Jul 9, 2006 -> 11:56 AM) 65 pitches for the Count. His day will be over before the 5th on this pace. Not looking good at all, especially with the way our middle relief has been lately
  9. well at least Jose has his good stuff today, now only if he can not throw 2 strike pitches down the middle, then we should be fine
  10. QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 9, 2006 -> 11:26 AM) So far, this wknd has been a worst-case scenario with the Yankees about to sweep the DRays. It's looking like it might only be a 4 game lead going into the ASB, with 3 games to start the 2nd half of the year against the Yanks. It has been a nightmare so far, but if we can pull this one out , and i see the Drays are coming back on the Yanks, and hopefully they can pull that one out. And then MAYBE Seattle can actually win a game, i would be content with that going into the break.
  11. QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 9, 2006 -> 11:21 AM) Maybe it's me, but this team seems so flat. They are probably tired from having to score so many runs this season. Our starting pitchers HAVE to step it up in the 2nd half.
  12. Cant say i like the way this game has started so far, but with that being said..............KICK THESE f***ERS ASS!!!!!!!
  13. QUOTE(brijames @ Jul 5, 2006 -> 07:36 PM) Definately too close to stand there and look at. Those were borderline calls, Bobby gets the benefit of them.
