I have UCONN losing to u of i
-
In my bracket, I have SIU with the upsets and then an extreme beatdown by Texas.
-
The MVC needs to represent, show them that mid major doesnt mean undeserving...I have all except Bradley winning their first round game...and Falker vs Pittsnoggle...I CANT WAIT FOR THAT
-
Their stance isn't always right though. Most big conferences wont play mid majors unless the mid major goes on the road, or unless it's a "neutral" site close to home.
And, before he b****es about the MVC, the MVC was 3-2 against the Big 10, the top rpi conference.
-
Duke, Illinois, Gonzaga, and Ohio St is my Final Four
-
I've already got Wichita St beating Tenn in the 2nd round.
-
It aint leting me yet.
-
I think an 11 was kind of harshly low, but I also think it helps...I think it sets us up better for a run to the sweet 16 than any other bracket could of IMO.
-
I am not biased against him, he is just not as good as everyone thinks.
-
Actually, he is a POY candidate because he broke a 3 pt record and he plays at Duke.
But, your wrong...he cannot create his own shots, I wont say he's a horrible ball handler but he is no better than average, and hes not a good passer.
He is about the definition of a one trick pony.
-
He also has a knack for bad poetry, whining when fans so mean things, and a name that can be turned into Redick-ulously(insert word here)
-
He makes alot because he shoots alot...precentage wise hes not even in the top 10 of ACC history
-
I agree with them when they say JJ is a good shooter...great from the free throw line, and pretty good from 3. Not as good as ESPN makes him out to be, no where near the greatest 3 shooter in history...NCAA or ACC.
When you add in the rest of his game...poor in pretty much every area...not a good pass, not a good ball handler, cant create his own shots...I see a good yet extremely overhype college player with little to no pro career.
-
Anyone else get the impression that at any time during a Duke broadcast that Dick Vitale is getting sexually arounsed just watching the Blue Devils? And speficially JJ Redick?
And there is a ref conspiricy...Duke gets any and all calls.

QUOTE(Brian @ Mar 11, 2006 -> 04:40 PM)Flip the "I" and the "S" and you have a real university.
Ya I got accepted to SIU but didn't go. Too much partying and I wasn't ready to go to a big 4 year school yet, academic wise.
-
You may be right, but I could see those limitations going away. The conference has been getting great press this season, I could see alot of top recruits giving Valley schools a better look. Chicago wont be able to be had for a while, for whatever reason the ACC plucks Chicago dry every year. But, at the same time, I could see Bradley weakening U of Illinois' hold on Peoria, and SIU, which already makes good with E. St. Louis, could branch out even more. Wichita St. could maybe start pulling recruits from Kansas and K. State, and Northern Iowa could get in bidding wars with Iowa and Iowa State. As for Creighton, branching into Oklahoma and Texas is not out of the question.
-
I didn't say a valley team would make the final four, I just said it's about time we got a team there.
-
If you dont think SIU or any Valley team can make it to the final four, well thats your perogative. But I see no reason why they cant. Most teams wont be used to the stifyling defense like the teams from the valley possess.
-
I can hardly wait until tomorrow. See what seed we get, what bracket, because I have a feeling we are going to suprise some people and take a few hard fought wins.
Its time the Valley represents someone in the final four

Does anyone on this board go to ISU? Just wondering, I applied there today, and was wondering about like how big the campus is, if it's a nice campus, where some good places to drink beer are in Bloomington/Normal...JW, not sure if I am going to get in, but a heads up on what to do there would be awesome.

I know it was accidental, but Krauser is a thug. I cant stand him.

QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Mar 10, 2006 -> 10:24 PM)Also, Dee Brown should send 10 percent of whatever money he makes playing pro to Luther, Deron, James, and Roger....because damn is he overrated. There I said it Illini fans, crucify me. He's got the fame and the smile and the undeserved awards, but if he's not making 3 pointers, he's a below average player. He was our 4th best player last year and is our 2nd best player this year. He's been great for the school, but as a player he's overrated, by just about everybody.
I wouldn't say he's overrated, I'd say he's rated just right. Of course he is going to flourish with the supporting cast he had last year, and of course with the overturn in starters there are going to be struggles. But I want you to ask yourself something...would the Illini be as good a team as they are if D.B. wasn't running the offense?
-
I said sometimes she looks good sometimes she looks...nowhere near as good.
I've got my heart set on Lindsey Jacobellis or Gretchen Bleiler...I have a thing for snowboarders.

QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Mar 9, 2006 -> 06:04 PM)?
Im pretty sure thats not Hannah Teeter, at least the one we are talking about...the girl we are talking about is a young perky blonde snowboarder who is occasionally smoking hot that dresses punk.

Dont take me wrong and think I am an Illini fan, far from it...I just like their chances.
