  1. QUOTE(bkmoney @ Aug 17, 2005 -> 02:37 PM) Wait hold on now. Selig was on PTI last week I think and they asked him if there were any more big names that have tested postive, and he said specificly said there was one young player who had tested positive. Now was Selig just not telling everything? or is this report not true? Because there haven't been any more announcements to my knowledge about that player. The appeal process must have been very very fast for the stories to work together. The players have a right to privacy until after their appeal. I don't think Bud would be honest regarding steroids in any situation or under any circumstances.
  2. QUOTE(redandwhite @ Aug 17, 2005 -> 02:36 PM) There was no green on that post, Yea.. I know. Another start to some more bulls***. :headshake
  3. QUOTE(redandwhite @ Aug 17, 2005 -> 02:34 PM) My brothers freinds sisters daughters freinds brothers father works for Major League Baseball and told me that your freinds report was false. Good grief.
  4. QUOTE(tpezz27 @ Aug 17, 2005 -> 02:25 PM) No I think he started to take them again after he couldn't hit without them! Nowhere did I say he just started to take them now, don't be so ignorant! Rude.
  5. Probably should edit out the players names...
  6. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Aug 17, 2005 -> 02:22 PM) Not that it couldn't be true, but that particular line just screamed at me. And had he not had that conversation.. I would agree.
  7. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Aug 17, 2005 -> 02:14 PM) Not that this makes the whole post kinda smell funny... Jim golfed with Fergie Jenkins on Monday and steriods were a big topic all day. This guy and their conversations have some similarities.

    We suck

    QUOTE(mreye @ Aug 17, 2005 -> 01:17 PM) I'm soooo glad we're going out of town until Tuesday. I'm glad we'll be at the games all weekend.
  9. QUOTE(Chisoxrd5 @ Aug 17, 2005 -> 01:11 PM) That list is straight from Gammons ESPN Insider article. I'm not gonna post an insider article on here but I'm looking right at it...So for those who are sorry for not believing the list: BELIEVE Thanks.. but I'm so used to it by now.
  10. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Aug 17, 2005 -> 12:40 PM) I'm sorry, but 90% of those names I just don't believe at all. Not sure why you're sorry. I didn't make the list. Just passed it along... Not quite sure why I keep making that mistake. :headshake
  11. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Aug 17, 2005 -> 12:52 PM) ESPN.com folks. Theres a link right on the front page. Claiming Cy Young Candidates makes no sense, because we wouldnt release them. Come on. Lots of great players go through waivers. Is the list of pulled back up yet....? I'm asking before I believe ESPN.

    We suck

    QUOTE(winninguglyin83 @ Aug 17, 2005 -> 12:38 PM) sanatan pitching today/ Yankees in town this weekend. going to be plenty to b**** and worry about Yep.. it could get ugly around here this weekend.
  13. QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Aug 17, 2005 -> 12:26 PM) Source? A reliable one.
  14. QUOTE(Soxbadger @ Aug 17, 2005 -> 12:26 PM) There are some suprising players on that list. But Blalock how could no one claim? Or has it become that GM's almost claim no one out of respect to the other teams? SB Because they know Texas would pull him back. From all that I have ever heard the waiver process is a joke.
  15. QUOTE(forrestg @ Aug 17, 2005 -> 12:25 PM) I'd love to have griffey. He would put us over the top. I don't understand this money thing with Reinsdorf because did or did not Kenny William say when asked if getting a player for the stretch, " Money is no problem". Finally!! I can't wait for it to come out that nor getting Griffey is likely Jerry's fault because he's a cheap bastard... bla, bla, bla....
  16. QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Aug 17, 2005 -> 12:24 PM) Link? Nope.
  17. QUOTE(Leonard Zelig @ Aug 17, 2005 -> 12:18 PM) Do you think it could ever even get to that? I don't think any of them would get through the waiver process. Supposedly the following Sox players were put on waivers.. and cleared. Jon Garland, Mark Buehrle, Freddy Garcia and Scott Podsednik. Here's some non Sox players that also (supposedly) cleared. Hank Blalock, Ken Griffey, Michael Young, Russ Adams, Aaron Hill, Brandon Webb, Tim Hudson, Andruw and Chipper Jones, Matt Clement, Johnny Damon, Curt Schilling, Jason Varitek, David Wells, Bobby Abreu, Chase Utley, Garret Anderson, Darin Erstad, Francisco Rodriguez, Scot Shields, Rickie Weeks, Carlos Beltran, and Pedro Martinez.
  18. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Aug 17, 2005 -> 11:53 AM) The only person that is public about their being no trade has been called a "puppet" by several fans and people close to the organization. I feel that he has no real authority. I have heard nothing but positives about John Allen.
  19. QUOTE(RibbieRubarb @ Aug 17, 2005 -> 11:41 AM) Thank you. I think Kenny wants to do the deal and has a deal in place. But it's not in his control right now. (Reds ownership) And from all reports this morning they are saying he is not moving.
  20. QUOTE(Colorado Sox Fan @ Aug 17, 2005 -> 11:32 AM) Do the deal, Kenny. :banghead
  21. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Aug 17, 2005 -> 11:26 AM) I would have to step over your two cents to do it. And they seem to be everywhere. Yes.. they are. You need a tissue..
  22. QUOTE(kyyle23 @ Aug 17, 2005 -> 11:13 AM) Steff this is one of the pettier points you have ever argued. And thats saying alot. I'm not arguing anything. Just correcting. Petty... don't trip over that kettle next to ya.
  23. QUOTE(winodj @ Aug 17, 2005 -> 11:08 AM) Military Law is different than Civil Law. So the same protections, etc. do not necessarily apply. I wonder if an adultery law was actually enforced, if a conviction would be upheld. Yes.. I know which is why I made 2 separate points. Doubt it. So many other easier less messy ways to divorce.
  24. QUOTE(Chisoxrd5 @ Aug 17, 2005 -> 11:04 AM) Hmm...she sounds hot What exactly is the point of this thread? I'm only replying because I'm very "post-ey' today Post Diddy... That's hot.
  25. QUOTE(winodj @ Aug 17, 2005 -> 10:48 AM) I'm pretty sure that when the Supreme Court invalidated the sodomy law in Texas, it invalidated adultery laws as well. The military also still considers adultry "against the law" and for them is an arrestable and punishable offense.
