  1. I have a hard copy at home but this is one of the places I go to get stuff on line. It's pretty detailed, but I'm not sure if it's complete. It does have a link to the '01 agreement. http://www.cbaforfans.com/main.html I know the agreement is on line in PDF format.. I'll see if I can find it.
  2. Your buddy Maggs.. is yet.. a liar again. Here's the proof straight from the CBA.. Quote: Deferred compensation obligations incurred in a Contract executed on or after September 30, 2002 must be fully funded, in an amount equal to the present value of the total deferred compensation obligation, on or before the second July 1 following the championship season in which the deferred compensation is earned. For simplicity sake.. this means that deferred money must be "funded" (i.e. set aside) no later than July 1 two years after the money is earned. For example, money deferred for 2005 must be funded by July 1 2007. The money also must be funded at the net present value, meaning any interest accrued between when it's funded and when it's given to the player belongs to the player. In practice, there is no reason not to give it to the player on July 1. Thanks to Ol' No 2 from WSI for digging this up. As for you.. do some research would ya.. it's not that difficult and it enforces credibility rather than make you look like a fool.
  3. Oh bulls***.. Here's your comment "For KW to continue to fly under the radar, he's going to have to move salary cause, GOD FORBID, the White Sox actually add considerable (around $10 million) salary over the course of one offseason." You were just trying to take another shot at them.. just admit it..
  4. '03 was $50 or $51 million. '04 was approximately $64 million.
  5. Yea.. very nice.. We sit in row 3 and 4 several times a year. Maybe Man Soo told him this in between handing out Bazooka...
  6. Heather doesn't attend Sox Fest.
  7. Wow.. I way misunderstood what you posted then..
  8. No kidding. If this happens.. they are definitely going to need extra security at Sox Fest..
  9. They added $12 million from '03 to '04
  10. Oh Lord.. I'm going to have a stroke here..
  11. What about it..? The Sox offered Maggs a 5/70 contract - he confirmed that. The Sox didn't know about the surgery - the doctor confirmed that. Those are my only 2 issues.
  12. Maybe because the doctor is saying the Sox didn't know - which is what they are claiming.
  13. After the fact though... why..? That's a rhetorical question, btw..
  14. Where's that quote.. I have yet to see either paper and am counting on you guys to be accurate.. TIA.
  15. I think the Trib got more details - cause ya know they are only out to get the White Sox.. I'm not registered to the toilet paper... err.. Trib so I can't post it.
  16. No. The surgery was late July, early August. It was reported in (iirc) October...
  17. Oh hell... you were there and heard him say this..? Why the hell didn't you tell us that in the first place..? :banghead My apologies Dick. Regardless.. Maggs had additional surgery without telling his employer.. and his dishonesty is now biting him in the ass. Too bad, so sad.
  18. Bingo. If the Sox were signing a check to him at the time he gave Maggs the name.. then his ass should be fired for not disclosing that information to them.
  19. I'm sure he may have.. as I don't think Frank's doctor leaves his practice to be at Frank's side 24/7. I don't recall that being the issue.. at least it's not to me. My issue remains Maggs did not inform the Sox of his plans to have additional surgery. According to Weil he was not employed by the Sox at the time he gave that information. To me.. that negates the "Sox gave Maggs the doctor's name" accusation. Not to mention the Sox trainer - who IS employed by the Sox - didn't know s*** about any of this. I trust Herm a hellova lot more than I trust a hired hand, or Maggs, or Boras. You believe what you want, I'll believe what I heard directly from those that would know.
