It's my understanding.. ... that they (teams) have parameters they can work within. If they deviate much from that is when MLB takes a closer look. I'm sure they give them all the "stamp of approval".. but ones with a lot of red tape are looked over more closely. Oh.. Of course he does.. But he does not have say in the financal status of the team. Deferring money would be considered a liability to the team. By CBA rules a team can NOT have more than 10 times it's EDITDA at any given time. Any financial obligations would have to be approved by MLB as to not violate the financial restrictons.
