So today was the appointment and here's what we learned..
The abnormality is a small piece of one of the valves that appears to be "tired". Should be no big deal.. but with heart issues in Jim's past.. it becomes one. Several reasons if could have become "lazy" including a undetected heart attack in the past. He also has a slight murmer, but said that was "no big deal". His BP was a bit high, but the DR said that could be circumstance (meaning that it was elevated because he was there discussing possible health issues). Cholesterol at 135 is a huge plus.. basically that's a mid 20's level.. and since Jim is well past his mid 20's.. the DR was pleased and doesn't suspect any sort of diet change. The next step is a ultrasound of his heart and some other test I can't recall it's name right now. It's something new and not covered by insurance but the DR thinks it would be helpful.
Jim.. thanks again for the info. I was able to ask questions based on what you posted.
Next visit is the 28th when he'll have both tests.
Also thanks to you to LMB.. you calmed me down a lot.
And thanks to everyone for the really, really nice PM's. They were appreciated more than you know.
