  2. Crap.. if Kenny keeps doing things like this I'm not going to have anything to b**** about at the Q&A.. LOL
  3. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jan 3, 2005 -> 12:50 PM) I'm in Steff OK.. that's 12. The standing reservation is for 15 and I can up it as late as Wednesday for 100% confirmation. Everyone is welcome. And you don't have to eat either.. if you want to just come and hang that's fine.. but I'd feel more comfortable with a confirmed reservation. So.. either post here or PM me.
  4. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jan 3, 2005 -> 01:04 PM) Some more feel good stories about people going out of their way to raise money... http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/6781407/ I got Bekins to sponsor a casual day to collect $$ from the employees and corporate and the agents are going to match it $ for $.

Awesome!!! Welcome to the newest Sox fan!!
  6. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Jan 3, 2005 -> 12:32 PM) Who so far do you think is in? Confirmed: Us, You + 2, SS & Angie, Mike & Kris, John & Jen.
  7. OK. Houlihan's it is. I called and made a temp reservation for 15. Need a final count by Wednesday.
  8. QUOTE(AnthraxFan93 @ Jan 3, 2005 -> 12:23 PM) yeah sorry my stomach was thinking not my brain! NP. I would perfer Magnum's over RC personally. But I don't think $80 per person (wthout drinks) would be attractive to this crowd.
  9. QUOTE(YASNY @ Jan 3, 2005 -> 12:20 PM) Heaven help you guys if you piss Steff off! LMAO... I'm going to be fresh off the plane from vacation so I should be OK.. until Sunday at least.
  10. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Jan 3, 2005 -> 12:12 PM) Well, I'm still down for some sort of You guys are welcome to eat with us. I'll call Houlihan's and see what their reservation criteria is and then we can go from there. The only request I have.. if you commit to it, be there. I'm not going to be happy if I make a reservation for people and they not show up....

We see it as.. you have to spend the money regardless (if you choose to take the toll road) so it's not a big deal when it comes out. I can see the other side though. Just not that big of a deal to us.
  12. QUOTE(AnthraxFan93 @ Jan 3, 2005 -> 12:01 PM) I know I am not the one most of you love here! But, with that said.. make a suggestion instead of Gibson's go to Ruth Kris's(sp) much better steaks You missed the "don't want to leave the hotel" part...
  13. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jan 3, 2005 -> 11:46 AM) Why do you think I got married in the first place? Anyway, yeah H's sounds fine to me. The place honestly doesn't matter that much to me, the company is what makes the night anyway. M&K are rooting for Stetson's again. Personally, I don't care either way. Just have to get in early no matter what we decide. So it's up to the majority on how much everyone wants to spend.
  14. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Jan 3, 2005 -> 11:43 AM) Where would we be without the mother of the group? Someone has to keep your butts out of trouble..
  15. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Jan 3, 2005 -> 11:39 AM) I definitely want to meet up, I am going to have two friends with me plus Gage, so as long as they want to go, I am down for just about anything within reason. I would anticipate a large group so we'll have to make reservations.. I'm sure we can get a # by the end of the week and I'll set things up if H's is good with everyone.
  16. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Jan 3, 2005 -> 11:36 AM) Hoolihans is open fairly late I believe, I went there a few times last year to eat. The main thing I remember sucking about the bar last year is I hardly got to talk to anyone who was sitting down (mike, iwritecode) because I had nowhere to sit down. I basically only remember talking to Steff because she was up and about helping me get my picture with Estey. If we meet up there again we need to find somewhere for people to sit. Which is why I suggest getting there earlier than last year for sure. Dinner was late - like 8:30 iirc. If we do that again we should eat at like 6ish.
  17. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jan 3, 2005 -> 11:33 AM) Now, now... don't knock until you've tried it... j/k. Seriously, any other ideas? Hoolihans is connected to the Hyatt, and they are much cheaper, but I don't know how late they are open. How many are really interested in the "family party"..? That kind of sets the time frame. Jim and I don't care either way. Houlihan's is fine. Still gonna be about $40 a person (with drinks and app's). Who from here is intersted..? And since when are skanks from the local boobie bar considered "fine"??
  18. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jan 3, 2005 -> 11:26 AM) I thought the dinner was a lot of fun, but I can understand the cost being a kick in the teeth Maybe we should try a gathering in someone's room? A BYOB kind of affair? In someone's room...? This new SS appears to be a bit freaky..
  19. QUOTE(TheDybber @ Jan 3, 2005 -> 11:18 AM) Just saw this on ESPN.com in a Sean McAdam article. We have had numerous discussions about this topic, but this kinda confused me. So, can he use money earmarked for the Red Wings to upgrade the Tigers or not? Or am I not reading this right? He can use his money however he wants. If it's personal $$ he was using for the Wings - which he obviously isn't using now - he can use it where he chooses. But $ that is already tied into the Wings.. no, he can not take that from the Wings and use it for the Tigers. I do question if these comments are based on facts or Sean just assuming. The Tigers have a lot of cash to spend thanks to the AS game. IMO, that's where the $$ is coming from. Illitch is too smart to be taking from Peter to pay Paul.
  20. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jan 3, 2005 -> 11:14 AM) I didn't see much interest for the A couple people have emailed/called me.. but don't want to do the hotel dinner again. I'd prefer not to leave the hotel.. but the thought of Gibson's does sound good... I'm going to be gone all next week so if there's an interest in that let me know this week and I'll set it up for Saturday night (the 15th) FYI.. that would likely be a $50-$70 per person dinner.

QUOTE(AssHatSoxFan @ Jan 3, 2005 -> 11:03 AM) i guess since i am going to be away for a while i can wait to get an IPASS until i get some money in the ol bank account....and as for IPASS lanes i think if you really want to you can just through a normal lane as well and it will read it in case you cared All lanes have been IPASS friendly for some time now. The only difference is you have to stop at those that aren't express lanes.
  22. Sandra Bullock donated $1 million to the Red Cross.
  23. QUOTE(EvilJester99 @ Jan 3, 2005 -> 10:27 AM) Does the hotel allow people who aren't staying at the hotel to use their valet service if they are attending Soxfest or no? Yes they do.

QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jan 3, 2005 -> 09:13 AM) I just wish they would connect the Skyway to IPASS. I know they are on different systems, but doesn't the east coast have all of their states interconnected? I think they are working on it being combined by March IIRC.

Already a huge difference at the booths. I love the fact that the $0.15 one from 294 to 55 was upped also. Flew past that one this morning for a change.
