  1. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Jan 18, 2005 -> 03:00 PM) We waited about 2 hrs, then Jason seated us, not the hostess. We waited.. maybe 10 minutes. This was about...I dunno.. 8ish I think.
  2. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jan 18, 2005 -> 02:26 PM) No doubt. That was the longest 30 minutes of my life When was this..? We got right in and had dinner Friday night. 9 of us.
  3. QUOTE(Iwritecode @ Jan 18, 2005 -> 12:21 PM) Unless it makes the front page of the newspaper the next morning... Ok.. The Big Bar is like the locker room...
  4. QUOTE(Iwritecode @ Jan 18, 2005 -> 12:16 PM) Are you able to get extra tickets to those games? Besides opening day (even that's up in the air), that's really the only game that I can manage to go to each year. With the new deal of only being able to get Cubs/Sox games through multi-game packages I'm pretty much screwed... Yea, I got extras for all 3.
  5. QUOTE(aboz56 @ Jan 18, 2005 -> 12:01 PM) So what exactly should I tell Matt to do to claim the tickets? Have him get them and either come to the games or sell them here or stub hub.
  6. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jan 18, 2005 -> 12:04 PM) POST IT!!!! [runs away] Soxfest is like the locker room... what happens there, stays there. I knew there were some questions on whether or not you were to be trusted.
  7. QUOTE(kapkomet @ Jan 18, 2005 -> 11:01 AM) From one 31-er to another. You too?!?!?! Damn good company to be in Happy Birthday eye...
  8. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Jan 18, 2005 -> 10:56 AM) The guy knew EXACTLY what he was saying. C'mon, it slipped out? Even if it did, how did it get in his head in the 1st place? Just a guess.. Maybe Daniel Carver from Howard Stern Show fame. He calls MLK "Martin Lucifer Coon". I've never heard that anywhere but there.
  9. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jan 18, 2005 -> 11:14 AM) They did say all prodedes go to charity. So the Sox could have taken the hit on making them, and just wrote it off. What the hell is a prodede??
  10. QUOTE(toasty @ Jan 18, 2005 -> 11:07 AM) ... you assume that the wristbands were made for free! Just using the facts provided by the article. Since it didn't say before or after costs...
  11. QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Jan 18, 2005 -> 10:39 AM) That's what happens when you don't click on the article and read it. LOL I actually thought you'd come back with a SA comment something like.. only 9,999 thanks to the one Jim broke.
  12. Don't get me wrong.. I like to have some beers when bowling. But these ladies.. they are no shows at the last minute. They've "forgotten" about position rounds. They are just stupid. I'm changing teams next year.
  13. QUOTE(Molto @ Jan 18, 2005 -> 10:37 AM) that was me for about a year, up until three months ago, when I started bowling like I always did, throwing 170-180. Unfortunately, we have yet to win a playoff spot. Two quarters have passed and two second place finishes. We're in first place three weeks into the third quarter though... We took 7 2 weeks ago.. NONE the week I was in Mexico.. and all 7 again last night. My team is so not serious and it pisses me off.. then I bowl bad. I bowled well last night for my 141 average.. but I know if they weren't such asses we'd all be better.
  14. QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Jan 18, 2005 -> 10:30 AM) Makes me feel good to see fans and players alike combined to help out a very great cause. Good job to everyone involved. I wonder how many wristbands were sold $20K made / $2 per = 10K sold
  15. QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Jan 18, 2005 -> 10:21 AM) With bumpers? Hahahahahaha.. hahahaha.. hahahahaha
  16. QUOTE(ChiSoxyGirl @ Jan 18, 2005 -> 10:25 AM) Wtf? First, I respect her decision to not have children due to a career. But Crikey, shouldn't she and her ex have talked about that BEFORE the marriage? It sounds like they are miles apart on their ideas about a family. That's NOT a feminist issue--that's a I have crappy communication with my significant other problem... I'd bet they did... and he was so happy to be banging her and ready to stick it to Paltrow for dumping him that he agreed to anything and figured he could change her mind later. She doesn't seem to me like one to not be up front about things she wants.
  17. QUOTE(Molto @ Jan 18, 2005 -> 10:06 AM) sorry bout that. I would've talked bowling too, especially since I'm now starting to bowl some respectable games after more than a year of crap. I remember the ESPN days. I don't post as much as I did, but I check out the board everyday. I bowled a 172, 130, and a 142 last night. I'm so inconsistant it's sick.
  18. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jan 18, 2005 -> 09:55 AM) Nope, he is old enough. He was the shorter guy with glasses that was almost straight across from you guys. Saturday he was right next to Oz Jr. while he was over there. He did leave early though. Had a family thing to do Sunday. He was next to Mikster and Ozzie most of the night.
  19. QUOTE(Tannerfan @ Jan 17, 2005 -> 06:36 PM) In this day and age an angioplasty procedure is not that big of a deal, he'll be fine Where did the dips*** smiley go...?
  20. QUOTE(IlliniKrush @ Jan 17, 2005 -> 04:28 PM) So i'm alive despite Steff's attempt to kill me (to be fair, there were others involved with this effort as well)... As Mike (SS2k5) said, there was a little bit of drinking involved as well. Soxtalk runs up a hefty bar tab over a two night period while holding down the bar. And while i may have been "sleeping" until 6 on saturday, i still made the KW and Ozzie seminar (most of it...) and i made dinner a bit late and received a nice ovation. However, at least i didn't spill half a drink on myself at the bar. That honor would go to the one and only Jason. That same night (Saturday), some of us had an epic breakfast at 4am while jamming into a Civic. One final note, i am not "Steff's man", no matter what Carl Everett says. Oh please.. not one person forced those 7 36oz beers down your thoat!! The bar tab for the weekend.... a mere $1,061. I totally forgot about the LL Ice Tea getting Gaged!!! Although.. I should shut up before the "headband" gets mentioned... And I concur with Brian that Carl is wrong when he says Brian is "my man"... my man can hold his booze...
  21. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jan 17, 2005 -> 01:43 PM) I was shocked when I came back up from downstairs and saw him drinking something. I was like how the hell did he pull that one off, lol. Then the next time I'm up Brian tells me they got the boot. All that waitress saw was $$ and her tip increasing as our tab was teetering on $600.. I never saw either of the 2 checking ID's.. and they weren't the only underage folks in there...
  22. QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Jan 17, 2005 -> 01:21 PM) Lol, Keith. I hadn't heard the part about Steff and Brian coming up and saying security. God thats classic. He was white as a ghost when he opened the door. I thought he was going to pass out on us.
  23. QUOTE(Queen Prawn @ Jan 17, 2005 -> 01:18 PM) That's cool! Are you at the location near 290 on La Grange just north of Roosevelt? I go past there occastionally (heading home after stopping by Brian's job). Yea.. I'm at corporate. Right by the "strangler". Luckily we don't have to travel it home.
