  4. http://www.wcax.com/Global/story.asp?S=2846594 Dog Brutally Attacked Email to a Friend Printer Friendly Version Lyndonville, Vermont - January 23, 2005 Police in Lyndonville say 17-year old Jeffrey Plourde strangled a neighbor's dog, sodomized it, and broke the animal's tail this past October. The two year-old chocolate lab, named Kacy, had to be put to sleep. "She was just an all-around good dog. Everyone wants a dog like her," said Kelley Willis, the dog's owner. "It's very important to know where your animals are. I live with that every day of my life. You don't think things like this can happen but they can." Willis also says she's looking to move because she no longer feels safe on her own street. Jeffrey Plourde will be arraigned on the animal abuse charges in February, but he's due in court Monday on unrelated charges. Lyndonville Police Chief Jack Harris says the department is building a solid case against Plourde as more witnesses come forward. The investigation continues into whether other teenagers were involved in the attack.

  6. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ Jan 21, 2005 -> 01:17 PM) My cousin's partner was the officer responsible for that arrest. Apparently Terrell was speeding and driving without license and registration. They brought him into the station, tossed him in the cell, and laughed in his face. My cousin said a friend of his told David, "This is for dropping 4 passes last week." Terrell is a scum bag. Luckily, we saw the last of David Terrell in a Bears uniform. That's hysterical.

  10. Student Sues to End Summer Homework Friday, January 21, 2005 MILWAUKEE — A student whose vacation plans were spoiled has sued to end summer homework in Wisconsin, claiming it creates an unfair workload and unnecessary stress. Peer Larson, 17, had lined up a dream camp counselor job last June, but honors pre-calculus homework turned his summer into a headache. "It didn't completely ruin my summer, but it did give me a lot of undue stress both at home and at work," the high school junior said Thursday. "I just didn't have the energy or the time for it." Larson and his father sued in Milwaukee County Circuit (search) the Larsons' concerns. "I strongly believe the district acted appropriately and didn't do anything wrong," she said. "Court is not the place to solve it." While students will probably root for the Larsons, lawyers contacted Thursday questioned the suit's legal grounds. Larson and his son had acted as their own legal counsel. "This is the sort of thing that has been traditionally handled by school boards," said attorney Thomas R. Schrimpf (search). Another attorney, Timothy Baldwin (search), predicted the case would be dismissed.
  11. 'Cool Mom' Threw Sex Parties for Boys Friday, January 21, 2005 ARVADA, Colo. — A 40-year-old woman faces charges of sexual assault (search) and contributing to the delinquency of a minor for allegedly supplying drugs and alcohol to high school boys and having sex with some of them. Sylvia Johnson, 40, told police she wanted to be a "cool mom," according to an arrest affidavit. A woman who answered the phone at Johnson's home in this Denver suburb hung up without comment. The arrest affidavit alleges Johnson had parties for the boys almost weekly between October 2003 and October 2004. The affidavit says she gave them marijuana (search), methamphetamine (search) and a variety of alcoholic drinks. "She described herself as a 'cool mom,'" Detective R.J. Vander Veen wrote in the affidavit. He said Johnson told investigators "she was never popular with classmates in high school and now began 'feeling like one of the group.' " Jefferson County district attorney's spokeswoman Pam Russell said she could not comment on whether Johnson has any children. If she does, they would be considered victims, Russell said, and state law shields their identities. The affidavit accuses Johnson of providing drugs and alcohol to eight boys and having sex with five of them.

  15. Mom Charged With Giving Crack to Son, 4 Friday, January 21, 2005 KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A mother has been arrested on charges that she gave crack to her 4-year-old son to "calm him down." Michelle R. Shelton (search), 32, of Kansas City, was arrested Thursday on a child endangerment charge. Police said the boy did not suffer any obvious injuries from taking the highly addictive drug. He remains in state custody. Police first began investigating Shelton a year ago when officers said they saw her escorting drug users into the apartment complex where she and her son lived. Police said some residents at the complex told investigators Shelton sometimes gave the boy crack cocaine to "calm him down." Social workers were sent to the apartment where they took hair samples from Shelton and her son to test for illegal drugs. The tests came back positive, police said. According to court records, Shelton told detectives she found empty crack bags and drug paraphernalia throughout her home after parties her son attended. She said it was possible the child found some of the drug.

  25. QUOTE(bogie @ Jan 21, 2005 -> 11:01 AM) Yeah- and you believe the hoodlums never had any children on the side..... I believe that as a very, VERY rich man Capone would have taken care of any indescretions that he might have had... and that when he died those indescretions would have come out of the woodwork looking for their cut. There is not one piece of history to support that Capone had any children other than Al. Regardless.. your Minoso story is bulls*** so this discussion is moot.
