  1. QUOTE(Queen Prawn @ Jan 6, 2005 -> 01:52 PM) At one point I started skimming and there was a step by step analysis (can't think of a better phrase at the moment) of how he molested one of the boys. Just couldn't read anymore of it. Alrighty.. I'm gonna pass on reading it. :puke
  2. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jan 6, 2005 -> 01:53 PM) Basically? Not even close. He didn't lie about a surgery. He didn't ask a team employee not to tell on him. He didn't turn down a long term extension. He didn't promise to turn over medical records, then didn't. He didn't promise to work out for teams, then didn't. He didn't claim to be working out, when he had just had a secret surgery days before. He didn't consult another agent a year before firing his own agent. But other than that I could see how it is close... LMAO!!
  3. QUOTE(Queen Prawn @ Jan 6, 2005 -> 01:49 PM) I tried to read it, but I just can't do it. Is it that bad..?? SG is blocked for me from work so I can't even get to it.
  4. QUOTE(quickman @ Jan 6, 2005 -> 01:46 PM) I wish people will relax. To be clear and not implement myself. I find it much easier to type "Jap" than try to spell this guys name. Take no offense, and if you do, please relax. There are many more things for you guys to contemplate in life. Wait till you get older. The "old ones" just can't follow directions..
  5. Perhaps this can be broken up and the non pale hose talk can be moved to SLAP where it belongs.
  6. QUOTE(babybearhater @ Jan 6, 2005 -> 12:44 PM) I've said it before and I will say it again. My cousin lives across the street from Mags in Burr ridge, he was seen not too long ago still using crutches to get around. if he is ready for a workout, I will eat my season tickets. The weekend after Thanksgiving he was at the gym in BR doing tub therapy.
  7. QUOTE(LosMediasBlancas @ Jan 6, 2005 -> 12:17 PM) ........and he doesn't have to move for now. He's gonna put a big numbers 05, book it. Name an amount and I'll bet you.. double back... that he doesn't.
  8. QUOTE(FlaSoxxJim @ Jan 6, 2005 -> 11:54 AM) In a related development, I will be initiating legal proceedings against Steff and against Soxtalk for MAKING me read the thread about the guy watching the people eating the rats -- during my lunch break no less. Hope you all have good lawyers. And I have nothing more to say about this. Unless it is a paid interview, of course.
  9. QUOTE(CubKilla @ Jan 6, 2005 -> 11:35 AM) Remember JR is losing $$$ in a billboard advertisement that used to be in LF so that they can build their Romper Room . Henry... so nice to see you around these parts..
  10. Wed Jan 5, 4:03 PM ET Entertainment - Reuters TV LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Watching contestants eat dead rats on NBC's gross-out stunt show "Fear Factor" so disgusted a Cleveland man that he has sued NBC for $2.5 million, saying he could not stomach what he saw. In a handwritten four-page lawsuit filed in federal court in Cleveland on Tuesday, paralegal Austin Aitken said, "To have the individuals on the show eat (yes) and drink dead rats was crazy and from a viewer's point of view made me throw-up as well an another in the house at the same time." His suit added, "NBC is sending the wrong message to its TV watchers that cash can make or have people do just about anything beyond reasoning (sic) and in most cases against their will." He said the show caused his blood pressure to rise so high that he became dizzy and light-headed, and when he ran away to his room, he bumped his head into the doorway. In a brief telephone interview with Reuters, Aitken said, "I am not at liberty to discuss the complaint unless it is a paid-interview situation." :rolly A spokesman for "Fear Factor" said the show would have no comment until it sees a copy of the complaint. The spokesman said the program did feature an rat-eating scene in New York's Times Square on Nov. 8. Over the years, contestants on the program have eaten some weird things, including ground-up spiders and live worms. Reuters/VNU
  11. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jan 6, 2005 -> 09:54 AM) Haven't people learned not to lie about this kind of stuff? There is always someone who is going to check on you anymore... Apparently not. Idiots. I don't see why she was convicted in the first place. It's obvious that she's nuts.
  12. Appeals court overturns the murder conviction against Andrea Yates By The Associated Press (01/06/05 - HOUSTON) — A state appeals court has overturned the capital murder convictions against Andrea Yates and ordered a new trial in the drownings of her children. The Texas First Court of Appeals issued its ruling in Houston today in a 12-page opinion signed by court Justice Sam Nuchia. A three-judge panel found that the Harris County trial jury might have been prejudiced against Yates by the false testimony of a prosecution expert. Park Dietz testified he consulted on an episode of the N-B-C T-V show "Law and Order" about a woman with postpartum depression acquitted by reason of insanity in the drowning of her children. It was later revealed that no such program existed. The Houston mother was serving a life sentence for the 2001 drownings of three of her five children. All five children were drowned in a bathtub at the family's home.
  13. That woman that was on the mattress floating around the ocean for 5 days... is having a baby. quote: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- An Indonesian woman who was discovered last week after surviving for five days in the Indian Ocean is pregnant, doctors have announced. Malawati, in her early 20s, knew she was expecting a child but had not told her rescuers because she assumed she would have lost it in her ordeal. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -- BBC for her and her child.

  18. QUOTE(kapkomet @ Jan 5, 2005 -> 08:25 AM) Budgets don't work in sports. Ask any hockey player right now. Parameters do. And everyone but the Yanks, Boston, and apparently the Mets and Orioles follow them.
  19. QUOTE(upnorthsox @ Jan 5, 2005 -> 08:16 AM) But you have no idea whether the Sox offer was "fair", if you don't like the Clement comp then you can move on to another, Omar Vizquel. Well why not let's just move on to every single damn player that the Sox have ever talked about wanting to get.. but didn't. I mean c'mon.. let's not stop while we're rolling. Let's b**** and moan about all of them.. and the ones that were traded... or retired also. Obviously the Sox lowballed them as well. Good grief.. do you have any concept of what a budget is..??
  20. QUOTE(YASNY @ Jan 5, 2005 -> 08:06 AM) I don't consider a fiscally responsible, but fair, offer that someone else tops as being a "lowball" offer. No s*** Yas.
  21. QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Jan 4, 2005 -> 03:51 PM) I think the professional leagues have by-laws against that actually. I think corporately it would be legal though... Yes, corporately it would be. I transfer funds daily from one division to the other at Bekins. However.. if our President owned Bekins and Mayflower.. and Mayflower was in financial trouble.. he could not use Bekins $$ to bail Mayflower out.
  22. QUOTE(Rex Hudler @ Jan 4, 2005 -> 03:51 PM) What I am talking about has nothing to do with "transferring funds". I didn't say it did. I gave an example of how companies can do so. This is all moot because it can't be done. And if there was some way that it could be, it would give an unfair advantage to those that own two separate franchises. The single sport owners would be raising hell.

Hey.. momma's gotta protect her babies. A bit stray.. but I am completely shocked at how my Ginger protects Abby. If Abby does something wrong Ginger will heard her to her bed. If Abby has an accident Ginger will come get one of us to show us. It's unreal.
