  1. Why in the hell is Tanyon NOT on this list..??
  2. I'm sure it means different things to different people. To my family it meant that if the children weren't baptized and they died their sould would have no "home" in the afterlife. A way of pretecting them until they are olf enough to make the decision on their own.
  3. As for him being right.. unless you've walked in those shoes - which he has indicated he has not - I don't think it's fair to judge others. No one knows what others lives are like behind closed doors. To make a blanket assumption is not possible in cases of abuse. It's safe to say, though, that clu would get his ass kicked to a bloody pulp if he walked into a DV shelter and made his comments.
  4. Why? Clu's right. And where did I say he was or wasn't? Your original quote makes it sound like you don't wanna hear anything Clu has to say on the issue even though Clu's right. Nope. And it was not intended that way. Clu is passionate on the subject to the point of a fork being shoved down the throat of the person who disagrees with him . A conversation that should be on the OT board, IMO.
  5. Why? Clu's right. And where did I say he was or wasn't?
  6. Ummm... No Royce Claton? Greg Norton? Jeff Abbott? Mike Caruso?
  7. And there's nothing standing in the way of you making that choice when you are older. Many, many believe in a "higher power". So let them. Your comments were in very poor taste, IMO.
  8. It's thought that if you don't do it before they are 1 that if something happens their "souls" hang in "limbo" not being able to go to heaven or hell. It's all in what your parents believe. I was baptized in a Baptist church and later in life - when it was my choice - in a Catholic one. And since when does how one s parents raise them stop them from having a mental imbalance and becoming a nut case? Geez.. when you grow up you take responsibility for your own actions. Church or no church in your life. Dissing on people for their religious beliefs.. a new low.

Weird. Some are that low here, but never the new releases.
  10. Cliff's notes version (and if you don't know that they are.. too bad !) You are born with original sin. You get baptized (christened) to remove this. By doing this, as parents, you are stating that you are going to raise the baby as Catholic, or Baptist, or whatever you are. During the ceremony there are some prayers and readings. The baby gets water poured on his for head to cleanse him of his original sin. There is a candle lit to represent the Holy Spirit has been brought into his life. And the baby is anointed with oils. I don’t remember what the oils represent.
  11. You'r right.. he never used his dad as an excuse. As for being there at all.. his dad was with him Monday afternoon. In a wheelchair next to the Sox dugout. He looks OK. Better then when I saw him in June. Hopefully he's doing better. As for missing it all together.. does everyone forget what a gamer Bobby was..? He would never, EVER miss being at a game and I'm sure that was relayed to Barry.

Saw the Murderdolls CD at Tower for $18.99 - that's pretty close to 20. Bought it at a used CD store for $8.99 - that's more like it. Used CD stores are the way to go. Most of the $14 CDs at Best Buy are 14-dollar piles of mule s***. To answer the original question, if you're not looking for anything specific, just trying to find music at random, try record labels sites like vagrant.com or epitaph.com. I also go to sites like blabbermouth.net ( for metal mp3s ) and punkbands.com ( for............well, punk ). Every time a new release comes out, BB has it for $10.99, I think it is. Anyone who pays $18 for a CD is a sap. Just stopped in there Saturday morning and all the "hot releases" are $17.99. Is the market price changed based on location? I remember shopping in Florida at Best Buy and they were near $20 there as well. I don't recall anything current anywhere near $12. Even at Target they are $17.
  13. Ahhh.. I bet more people call it this. Thanks eye and HSC Fan
  14. You don't know what a christening is...? And changing the date IS a big deal to the Church.
  15. A lot more then you think miss important things in their lives when they aren't making the big $ yet. Frank had to change the date of the Christening of his first child because of a Sox appearence he just HAD to make.
  16. We've screwed a lot more then just them 2.
  17. Oh geezus.. prepare for the rath of clu. Someone might want to toss this to the OT board, please..

    The Car Thread

    We have one. It's nice.
  19. Especially the way he hits in this park. I don't think he'd hit like that if he played FOR us. It's a definite rush when he plays here because he hates the management so much.
  20. Honestly I don't know anything about how his trade went over, that is why I asked. I just know Mike's D would be a god send right now for this team. He was sent to winter ball 4 days before his first child was due to be born - and there were complications and his fiance had been on bed rest for the last 7 weeks. He asked to delay for a week and he was told no. Two days after he was there she went into labor. He was told he could not leave. The day after his daughter was born while watching ESPN he found out about his trade on the ticker running across the bottom of the screen. When he got to Cincy he found out that the deal for Paul was in the works for "a couple weeks". There was no need for him to ever be sent to winter ball. His D would be great. But the fans of this team would murder him because of his K's.
  21. Bwwaaaaa, haaaa, haaa.... Thank RPS!! He brought it to all of our attention
  22. Jim and the "doable" one
  23. I made a comment about this before the season even started. Don't think I got even one nibble of a reply. After the way Cam found out about his trade to Cincy.. do you think he'd want to come back here? As for where he goes next.. I'd guess he stays put. But if he had a choice Atlanta would be ideal for him. Not cause they need a CF'er.. but cause all his family is there.
  24. JR is a nice guy.. when you're not in business with him.
