  1. 84 pitches. Jeter flies out
  2. QUOTE (fathom @ Apr 23, 2008 -> 08:21 PM) This reminds me of a few games last week where the players had no energy. These swings are pathetic. If by energy you mean hits, then yes. They are hacking early in counts, and not making a bad pitcher work for outs. This team loses patience when a junk baller is on the mound.
  3. AJ first pitch hacking. Pop out.
  4. PK and Dye out on 2 extremely soft outs.
  5. Ensberg K's on a great curve. 2 out.
  6. Mussina at 54 pitches by the way
  7. Thome gets 3-1 count and a cookie. Obviously he grounds out to second.
  8. So on 3-1, Cabrera decides to try a bunt...luckily he got a hit on the next pitch
  9. QUOTE (southsidehawkeye @ Apr 23, 2008 -> 08:02 PM) I love it when Hawk and DJ bring up Juan's 2004 run. How long can a player ride one hot streak? I think Juan is going for some kind of world record here... Erstad was living in 2002 in Hawk world.
  10. QUOTE (Cowch @ Apr 23, 2008 -> 08:58 PM) What would have happens if Joe hits the ump on that? What's the call? Umps are part of the field. If the ball lands, I think it's foul. I don't think there umpire interference.
  11. Finally. Pop out to Crede. Inning over.
  12. Base hit for Posada. First and second. Javy just can't close out an inning.
  13. Javy's nibbling. Another 2 out walk. I don't know that he makes it through 6.
  14. QUOTE (knightni @ Apr 23, 2008 -> 08:46 PM) Cubs game was a sellout, Sox game isn't...? I don't think that's the way it works in baseball, but I don't know. It's blacked out in NY as well.
  15. CQ with a great AB to draw a walk.
  16. The Sox have the "junk ball pitcher" bats out today.
  17. I saw the video today on the Today show. I don't know why he would pull this stunt in what appeared to be very heavy clouds and without any form of tethering.
  18. G&T replied to RME JICO's topic in The Diamond Club
His fastball is so slow he might as well develop a knuckleball. He either needs his fastball back or he needs to slow down his other pitches even more. I don't know if he will get that fastball back.
  19. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Apr 22, 2008 -> 11:12 PM) Steel Reserve...case closed. You nailed it. There's nothing even close.
  20. base hit for Melky. 2 on. Guillen to the mound.
  21. Looks like Wang is done.
  22. Juany makes the play on the Giambi shift. 1 out.
  23. Cabrera first pitch hacking. 3 out.
